Hello everyone. Me and my wife are fascinated and love temples. When we have free time and opportunity, we will visit temples. Each of our trips has a time limit of 5 - 6 hours. Because we have to pick up our son and granddaughter at school around 2:30 p.m. So me and my wife went to visit and make merit at a temple in the nearby district.
Chiang Dao district is another district that is close to the district where I live. Me and my wife visited many temples and attractions in Chiang Dao district and shared our experiences with friends in many previous posts. But there are many thai temples in Chiang Dao district. One of those temples is Wat Intharam.

Mae Ai district trip last month, we went to Wat Intharam too. We happened to see this temple. And we did not hesitate to visit this temple because we see some architecture similar to the Bodh Gaya architecture of India.
Brief History of Wat Intharam. Wat Intharam is a temple built in the year A.D. 1897, about 126 years old. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in A.D. 1992.

When we arrived Wat Intharam, we will see the name plate and the entrance arch of this temple are made of simple wood.

When we entered the temple. In front there is a wooden pavilion with serpent shape entrance stairs. Inside the wood pavilion, there is a sculpture of a color gold buddha image.

Buddha image hall (viharn) and ordination hall (ubosot) Lanna style. Though the buddha image hall (viharn) and ordination hall (ubosot) looks old. But the buddha image hall (viharn) and ordination hall (ubosot) are unique and beautiful.

The highlight of this temple, I think is the pagoda built similar to the Bodh Gaya pagoda in India.

In addition, this temple is building another pagoda similar to the Bodh Gaya pagoda too.

An old small wooden pavilion, inside with sculptures of gods and giants (Vaisramana).

The important highlight of the temple is the City Pillar of Chiang Dao District. The city pillar is in a brown wooden pavilion and inside this pavilion there are also many buddha images.

When we walk behind the temple, we will see the way to the waterfront. The back of the temple is on the Ping River. And the area behind the temple also has a school for monks and novices.

Then me and my wife walked around the temple. We see 2 more pavilions. Inside there are Buddha images. In addition, inside there are other sculptures.

Me and my wife enjoy and like this temple. Therefore, Wat Intharam is another Thai temple worth visiting. If you like thai temples, I recommend this one more temple.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
