Last December, our first kitten, Sasha, left us to cross the rainbow bridge. My daughter was devastated, she cried herself to sleep for so many nights. I, too, am in so much pain I couldn't get myself to talk about what happened, even up to now. I guess the only good thing that came out of the situation was that my 6 year old daughter learned how to handle grief and I learned how to deal with the pain that my daughter felt.

We thought we would never want to have pets anymore. The pain of losing them is just too much. But life has a different plan. A friend of mine messaged me that her mama cat gave birth and she needs to give away the kittens. Simultaneously, another friend messaged me that their neighborhood cat also gave birth. The kittens will be brought somewhere far because they did not want more cats in the neighborhood. Well, there was one person in their neighborhood wanted to keep them but most of the people there wanted the kittens gone. Their plan was to have them sent out far far away into the city and leave them there to fend for themselves. I cannot fathom how these people sleep at night!

The choice was obvious, we knew it in our hearts that we need to help those kittens. I immediately told that other friend to try and stall the people from doing their evil plan. I will pick them up and will take care of them myself. She put them in a box and we picked them up the following day. My daughter was ecstatic when she found out we were picking up the kittens. Although she kept saying they will never replace Sasha because there will always be a special place in her heart for her beloved kitten.

It was when we got home that I realized that I will need to take care of not one, buttl two little kittens. They were 4 weeks old back then. I can remember how tiny they were, they could each fit in the palm of my hand. Their meows and purrs are so cute! It was heartbreaking to see them somehow try to look for ways to go out at first. I guess they were not used to the new surroundings yet. It took them a while to realize that they are safe in their new home.

They've outgrown their crochet kitty beds, they're now fighting over this bigger one, they always end up sleeping beside each other anyway.

I crocheted beds for them. One for each but they sometimes would sleep on me, Tatay, or my daughter. Once they see me settle in the rocking chair, they would fight against each other to figure out who gets the 'bed'.

As they grow, we slowly see the differences of their cat personality. Kalinga is the sweet and playful one while Hiraya is full of mischief. Hiraya is especially sweet to me, Kalinga is more clingy to Tatay but both kittens seem to adore Aya. Their feeding style is also different. Kalinga or Kali as we fondly call her favors a scheduled feeding time. She gobbles up all her food right away. Hiraya or Raya on the other hand likes free-feeding more. She tend to get hungry frequently but eats very little at a time.

The kitty CCTV is always on the lookout.

They just turned 7 months last June 1st. Kali grew a lot bigger than Raya. Her heat cycle also started but Raya still shows no signs yet. I guess Kali just have more obvious signs like peeing everywhere and meowing weirdly as if in pain. She's scheduled to be spayed soon. We plan on having it done one before the other so that we will be able to give full attention to them after the procedure.

Enjoying their little pouch.

Our kittens are rescue PusPins, not like those expensive cats you buy on pet shops. They give us immeasurable joy all day long. (At night they just bother us in our sleep coz they're nocturnal. Lol) My husband works the night shift at home and he said these two keep him awake throughout the shift. LOL! They're not those show cats you see on TV but they add life (and beautiful chaos) in our life.

This year I'm also losing or missing one cat named Tigor. She was an office cat and suddenly escaped from the door. She ran away very far due to my client entering my office and she suddenly scare of him at that time. Tigor got came back to my office the next few days, just I'm unable to catch her when she hiding under the resident car while meowing at me. That time I tried my best to catch her under the stranger's car, unfortunately, she escaped again as she was scared of other people walking by near me.

It's been over 3 months, I'm not sure if she is still alive or not (I have walked around my office area many times and did not see any cat corpse, and asked the neighbor around). I wish she is with the new owner that taking good care of her. Even though I have many pets at home, still, losing Tigor also makes me very sad, and keep thinking of her for a long time. !PIZZA

Ohh. I hope Tigor found someone who'll take care of her.

I am a pet lover myself so I know how hard it is when we lose a pet but that's life we have to move on and get another one for there are a lot of them out there who needs love, care and attention.
Your kitty CCTV is really doing their jobs well. I bet they know what's the latest in the neighborhood... Haha
Wow! I love the crocheted bed you made for them, my mom @jurich60 is also a crochet lover and a crochet addict as well. She crochets just about anything.... I guess if you are really passionate about something no one can ever stop you form doing what you love.
Same as a pet lover and I guess with life too.☺️😍

Have a beautiful rainy day, it's raining now on my side, guess the monsoon months is starting.

I know your mom, she's an amazing crocheter.

You have a wonderful weekend. Lakas din ng ulan dito sa amin. Buti nakatapos na ako mag morning lakwatsa.

good vibes namna ng dating ng corchte unan mo sis, so lovely

Losing a pet is seriously painful, its hard to move on lalo if you truly love that pet. Minsan matotrauma ka din to have a pet again, just like me. Anyways good thing you decides to get them. Lucky this littke babies they found a loving home and owner 🤩🤩❤️ they are really cute love the color too.

Haha

Awww, ang cu-cute, not a total fan of cats kasi dog lover ako pero I appreciate their beauty. 😇🥰

I used to be a dog lover din. Ngayon dogs and cats love them both na. Mas madali pala alagaan ang cats. Pero mas madali turuan ang dogs.

I agreee momshie. But when it comes to lambing, I observe it mostly sa mga dogs.

I know some kids who loves pets very much and cried a lot too when they died. Hopefully Aya will feel relieve having them both in your house.

Ilang taon ba usually Ang lifespan Ng mga pusa? I'm not into cats kasi, I hate their balahibo.

Ang alam ko mga 17-20 years ang life span nila. Mejo same ata with dogs. I used to not like cats that much either. They mind their own business, maglalambing pag trip nila, maglalaro on their own.

Hahahah lahat Ng bagay gustong pakialaman hehehe

They look like best friends, and it appears to be a happy ending to a partially sad story. The best pets enter our lives without any planning whatsoever, very kind of you to rescue these cuties.

Yeah, when they're sleeping they look like sweet angels but once they wake up, they have the talent to raise hell around the house. Haha. But I love them no matter what.

Ayoko naag alaga mg pusa palagi nalang kaming iniiwan.

Naka move on na sya.

Ang cucute. Lalo yung sa may bintana na photo.. Hiraya Manawari naalala ko nung nabasa title mo haha..

Mahilig sila mag bird watching jan. Tapos kapag may narinig silang ingay ng kapitbahay, nag uunahan pa yan sila makaakyat para sumilip. Mga Marites! Hahaha.

Hahaha.

I can understand the pain when you love someone so much and she leaves the world because of illness. I remember. Even today we all remember that you thought rightly that the way your daughter was troubled, you thought rightly that they should not be kept anymore because when something happens to them, it is very difficult. There is more trouble, but you had both of them in your destiny. Come on, one good thing is that your daughter is very happy.

Yeah I guess. She's happy now with her new pets. She still remembers ohr old pet but now, she just remembers the happy times.

Good. She's happy now.
