in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY24 days ago

Hello ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY. This is my first post in the Southeast Asian Hive community. I am a girl from Vietnam who likes to review cafes and food - the places I have been to. I have read the community rules and I hope to become a part of the community and contribute to promoting Vietnamese cuisine through my posts. My content is original, the photos are also mine, I hope to be able to contribute my best to promote Vietnamese cuisine in particular and Southeast Asian cuisine in general to international friends. The dish I want to talk about today is called: "Bun Bo Hue" which means beef noodle soup originating from Hue - this is a city in central Vietnam, the characteristic of this dish is that the noodles are very large and thick, a bowl of noodles has many toppings and a super delicious taste. This is a Vietnamese dish that is really famous in many countries. Have you ever heard of Bun Bo Hue?

I love how you highlighted the harmony of spices like lemongrass, cinnamon, and star anise. I can imagine how comforting and satisfying it must be.

Wow, these noodles look very delicious! It's so wonderful to have you here and learn about Vietnamese cuisine.
I can smell the aromatics from here through the pictures, and it makes my mouth water.
The thick noodles and generous toppings are so satisfying.

Thank you so much for these helpful tips. Who knows, one day I can visit Vietnam, I will definitely go there.

Yes, soon! Vietnam is a wonderful place. Thank you

Wow, the bowl of soup looks delectable. I like pork bones in soup as they enhance the flavor more. We also add lemongrass in our soup especially fish soup as it removes the smell and the broth is tastier. It's not expensive yet you get to try an authentic soup; that's a good deal. So, this is considered breakfast dish in your country. I think for us here, we may have it for lunch or dinner usually. Your review is great!

Yes, we also have similar noodle dishes but I guess there's a difference in taste. I'm from the Philippines. Our noodle dishes were influenced by the Chinese long time ago then also incorporated with our local traditional dishes, so now we have different varieties of noodle dishes.
