Good day Hivers! May all of us today are thriving despite the many obstacles we're facing. Todays article is about fulfilling our purpose in life by sharing to you the story of our papaya in the yard.
This papaya was not intentionally planted but it grows in front of our yard. Big and bears a lot of fruit.
Way back then,we get a lot of harvest. The fruit is very sweet. It has a thick flesh -the edible part of it. We enjoyed eating it specially when its cold. We also use it at times when we cook chicken we add the green papaya to our recipe. It adds flavor and taste.
We get to share it to our neighbors and friends. We even sold some of it. The papaya is really giving us so many favors.
After a few years of giving us a healthy and delicious treat. The papaya grows old. The roots gave up. A loud bang was heard. It stumble into the ground. The papaya cried in silence as it always does. In pain but no one cares. No one notice. They're done with it. Its season had passed. Its life has ended.
Thereafter, We thought it will die sooner. So, we simply let it be. Let it decay in its own time, without any care at all. We thought it has accepted its fate. But fate has its ways.
Just as everyone thought it was the end. Months later, we noticed that the papaya leaves grow healthy and flowers blossoms which indicates that a fruit is about to sprout. Yes! it bears fruit again. Not just one but a lot.
Who would have believe that the papaya who was lying on the ground. Roots could not even touch the ground. Body filled with crops and grasses. Thrives on its own.
As time goes by, its fruits are getting bigger and it touches the ground. We decided to cover it with cellophane to protect it from the insects as well as the chickens that roam around the area.
Today, I harvested one of its almost ripen fruit so that the chickens and other insects won't get ahead of us. the fruit is big and it makes me so happy because I get it ahead of the chickens.
Just like this papaya our life matters depending on what we have and what we could give. When we bloom and flourish we get to give a lot. All that we could, even if it means forgetting ourselves. Selflessly.
But, When the time comes that we got nothing to give. People would neglect us and wouldn't care at all. You wouldn't be enough no matter how much you've given. During this season, you won't find anyone except yourself.
After all, we get tired. We need a little time to rest and to regain our strength. We don't give up. We're just getting ready for a more fruitful adventure.
Rise up! Fulfill your purpose. You are built stronger than the Papaya.
Best Regards,
vibramia
I was smiling while reading your papaya story. 😅 I felt like I was the papaya. 😂 I felt like this was my story. I was once like your tall and strong papaya when suddenly postpartum anxiety hit me, knocked me down, leaving me broke and hopeless, until I finally rose, but this time - bolder and wiser, and more productive than before. The papaya's comeback was like my comeback 😂 And so I want to say hi to that papaya 🤣
Kidding aside, thank you for sharing this inspirational story. The life lesson here is true and I can attest to that based on my experience. I hope more people will come here to read your piece and be inspired! Keep inspiring others dear, @vibramia 💞

Indeed, this teaches us about resilience and positivity in life. Plants are amazing; they provide us with what we need and continue to do so for a certain period of time. How awesome for this papaya to survive and continue bearing fruits even after such circumstance. I like the lessons that you mentioned; it is an eye opener for all of us to keep going better and stronger.
