And I hear you about the language challenge! This is less of an issue now (almost 15 yrs into my Italy adventure) , but there are still times where - especially older men! - think that I'm making mistake with what I am saying - or even misinterpreting their words - when I'm perfectly lucifd and expressing succinctly, but it's an idea which is too new for them... At least your neighbour seems very open to seeing you with new eyes: that is a powerful new ally! β€οΈπβ€οΈβπ₯
