Yo. Good morning hive community, surfers, lovers of nature, social inclusion and respect for life. Today, to start the week, I'm going to share about the event I attended yesterday and a general overview of the 2 stars on the scene. I hope you enjoy reading it and it inspires you to continue believing in life and its challenges.

On the 25th and 26th of May, the state surfing championship took place, the "Hangloose pro Attack" part of the classification for the CBS Brazilian circuit. I had the honor of being able to sponsor the event through Airdrop Culture in a partnership with Praiamolepowerglass, shaper and local hero of Carapebus for years, which included our beloved ARDRP Project with love in this stage, which took place in small waves, but with a lot of good vibes!

For me, supporting this type of initiative is fundamental, because surfing, like sport, is not just results, or the performance part, but a whole branch of inclusion, evolution, social integration and with nature that this scenario provides.

True Legends.

There was a presentation, a celebratory heat, with good friends of many years, Carlos Kill and Icaro Lasas, and of course, they stole the show, and made many people who were on the beach sand, or on the competition stage, reflect on their adversities.

The smile on their faces, in addition to the ''Mudras" represented by them, reminding us a lot of the animated sun overhead, gives us cheer and energy to live.

Carlos Kill is a two-time world champion parasurf athlete, he has been to California, ISASURFING among various places in Brazil and competitions. An OG, representing this battle many years ago, now has the possibility of inspiring a new athlete in the field "Lcaro Lasas" who suffered an accident and lost almost 100% of his right leg. Seeing the two of them together in this drumming was simply incredible.

"Surfing is life, arriving at the beach and listening to the sound of the sea calms you down, now going into the sea and seeing the world from another angle... put it, that's life. Beautiful life." - Carlos Kill.

One more difficulty to be overcome.

Preparation, weat suitIcaro and friend Eduardo Giurizatto after the heatI was Kill's Staff at some events and it was always an honor to be able to help and learn

Surfing in itself has many difficulties, from the logistics of getting to the sea, to the performance part itself. From passing all the waves, to getting to the correct area, to dropping, falling and getting up. Being physically disabled this is further enhanced, requiring greater strength from adapted athletes and a technical support team, such as an amphibious chair, staff and support.

Icaro accompanies himself before entering the waterCarlos Kill asking for permission for the fish and mother of the oceanÍcaro catching a backside wave on the drums.

So, being with these 2 athletes made me very happy and excited about life. I never want to complain again about the conditions of the sea, or the crowd or even my physical self. Just try my best and do my best.

Olympics 2028

Carlos kill has already participated in some stages of the world adapted surfing championship, being two-time champion, and Icaro, despite being a recent athlete, has been achieving excellent results in national championships, demonstrating a high level of athletes.

However, adapted surfing was not a sport approved for the next Olympics. Which is strange because regular surfing was already part of the last Olympics and will be present in the next one. Likewise, there are the Paralympics.

So that's what Kill says, it's been 16 years of striving as an athlete to continue seeing that it's very difficult, which doesn't stop him.

Last month, a petition was signed with several adapted surfing experts, in addition to a video manifesto sent to the Olympic community in order to appeal for the inclusion of this beautiful sport in the Olympics.

Still, it is something relatively new, even though there are old athletes with an incredible history like Kill, there are several classifications and categories of adapted surfing, which requires mapping and planning for mutual and coherent implementation between countries. I sincerely believe that in a matter of time, hopefully in 2028 in Los Angeles, adapted surfing will be in the Olympics or no later than 2032.

Icaro catching a strong wave in his backyard in the north of Espirito Santo, Caparabus, trained his frontside even without a leg. Icaro always puts a thick sock on the rest of his amputated leg to secure it to the leash and be able to perform maneuvers more safely if he falls off the board.

The championship was organized by the Capixaba Surf Federation, from Espirito Santo. And it was incredible, other ARDRP grommet friends such as Aninha Dagostini and Eric Grattz obtained great results. So seeing all these old surfing guys, Newton Miranda, Zecao Pai de Johnny Botelho, Nelson Ferreira, Julio Cesar Alvares, among others, managing this project and encouraging and supporting athletes and local brands to do this is incredible.

I'm truly happy to be friends with these idols, and see how they have a magic, an ability to make others feel good and inspired. May more professionals in the area support this path and athletes, may more people come to surfing and the sporting world and of course, may Parasurf become a sport approved for the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. Long live the athletes and professionals of area.

I'm always sharing my surfing achievements here, like projects, board designs and more, and it's an honor to make space for these 2 and share them with you, the hive community, in order to inspire you in life.

Until the next text. The sea may be an illusion, in the waves we find the question, but surfing, surfing is the answer. Surfing the waves of life with great kindness. 💙
