This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge

It's been a long time since I came face to face with this predator of the bushes. Yeah, he is the king of the bush spider with the Latin name Oxyopes salticus. And on yesterday's occasion, which was about 2 days ago, I could again see the spider standing bravely. I found him in the leaves, his courage was unquestionably proven when I brought the lens closer to him, he didn't run away but stood tall and proud.

"Oxyopes salticus is a species of spider belonging to the Oxyopidae family. This species is also part of the genus Oxyopes and the order Araneae. The scientific name of this species was first published in 1845 by Hentz." Wikipedia

Some of the photos of the Oxyopes salticus spider above are female, while photo of the Oxyopes salticus spider below is male. The difference lies in the front legs, male spiders have front legs that resemble crab hands.

Wow that is amazing!

Thank you :)

On many occasions I have mentioned how little I like spiders, but I must say that in photographs I have always found them so striking. Beautiful photographs, it's a beautiful contrast you generate with the spider!

You are right that in the real world spiders are a little scary for some people (amused) but it is also a challenge how to capture them in a photo so that it creates a different impression. Thank you @naitreart :)

What nice details and black and white contrast of the chandelier, everything in its right harmony.

Thank you @wilfredocav
I hope that next time I can find more interesting spiders.
