My entry for the #monomad challenge
Well the Delta variant of Covid finally snuck into New Zealand yesterday. After 6 months of freedom we are back in full lockdown for the foreseeable future. So I've been looking thru some images and decided I would post a few .
I love flower macros, and with my Huawei P30 Pro I got a supermacro mode which suddenly throws you right into the stunning world of macro Nature.
It's like another universe opens up and it is beautiful.
There is so much intricate detail that you just can't see with the naked eye.And with the tiny camera lenses in my phone I can actually get inside some flowers, which you can't do with a DSLR.
I also love the tapestry and layers of texture of Autumn leaves as they fall and die.
When rain has fallen even more magic happens.
I'm not a botanist so I can't tell you the names of these flowers-I just grab shots whenever I see some flower I come across day to day. This one was outside a florist-it reminds me of some alien creature from outerspace!
Again I love the textures of different species growing in harmony. This was at a public garden where you can always find great flower and plant macros.
The beautiful decay of fallen petals.
Well I hope you like some of these images. I will post more if there is enough interest.
And for all you under lockdown I sympathise and all I can say is stay safe,be kind and if you can, get out there and take photos.
