There is something unique about my trip this time, when I visited Rote Island, East Nusa Tenggara. When entering several villages, there I saw houses with fences made of piles of rocks neatly arranged in the yards of local residents' houses.

Generally, people on Rote Island build their house fences from piles of rocks, people there usually call it the Sabu Fence,

The corals taken are usually dead corals and have washed up along the coast of Rote Island.

The rocks are neatly arranged, and uniquely, they don't use cement as an adhesive. Many newcomers are confused by the rock fence, because it doesn't use cement but looks sturdy and doesn't fall over in the wind.

So that the coral reef fence has become the choice of the Rote community. Until now the coral fence is maintained as an identity on Rote Island.
