Sammy on Location - Monomad Challenge

I first met Sammy at a charity shoot that I ran at my studio (yeah I do a lot f charity shoots – but other than the benefit to the chosen charity it’s also a great way of networking with other photographers and models.

Grunge Sammy
Sammy has a very distinctive look and loves using wigs in shoots. It was almost a sin converting these to black and white as she is such a colourful character, but I had posted these versions on my social media accounts because they were the sort of grungy vibe I was going for.

Sammy with attitudeShe had taken a break from modelling for a couple of years so I was happy to work with her when she got back into it. It was a drive up the east coast of England to Scarborough where we shot in a number of places I didn’t know existed even though we used to holiday near there as kids.

You still shooting?
I really enjoy working with models on location, but its usually in remote places out of the way, so it can be a bit of a challenge when you are shooting in a public space and people just stand and watch. But credit to the models that just get on with the job in hand. Sammy was very much that type of model. And thankfully we got some images that we wee both happy with.
