Qurator Photo Quest: Trees and Wood link
You always feel safe, surrounded by nature, even though you are in the middle of nature.
You feel as small as an ant next to the large pine and eucalyptus trees. Many of these trees are almost a hundred years old and perhaps because you pass by them you often feel at ease.
However, my eyes are filled with sadness when one discovers the destruction caused by the flames of past fires. Causing the death of innocent beings who cannot flee the flames.
However, there is some relief to see that from the ashes new beings are sprouting that allow us to have hope in the new generations.
Generations of new trees that will soon reach as high as the sun.
New beings that fill with life the cliffs that I love to visit in my native Asturias.

Seeing the new pine trees sprouting where a few months ago there was ash made me think about life after death in nature and that there is always a glimmer of hope even in something bad like a burnt forest.
