Oregon Rocks

Oregon is pretty cool. You could even say it rocks. The coastline at least, I've not spent enough time in the rest of it to vouch for it.

Just head for the beach, you'll see what I mean.

Watch out for the elk though, they like to hide in the dunes and waylay passing strangers.

There's plenty of nice lighthouses to take in.

Getting to some of them can be a bit rocky though.

Can you imagine living and working there? Talk about work being on the rocks...

Even if you don't drink, in Oregon you still have the option of having your smoke on the rocks.

These are all from the stretch of coast between Cannon Beach and Seaside, Oregon.

Rocking!

🤣🤣🤣

Those are some awesome rocks! And those lighthouses are superb. That would be a great place to visit!

Thanks! I drove the 101 from where it starts/ends in Washington most of the way down to the California border, this stretch of the north Oregon coastline was by far my favorite of that. I don't recommend visiting that particular lighthouse, (it's Terrible Tilly) it's notorious for being dangerous. While working on this post I came across a photo of a wave breaking over it and the wave was taller than the lighthouse. It is for sale though. There's plenty of others to see though.

I forgot to use that photo but that's the Heceta Head lighthouse, it's equally cool and much less difficult to get to.

Oh wow, can you imagine owning that lighthouse? That would be pretty epic!
