Photographs of my great uncle --- Monomad ---

Carlos is a retired economist, a tall man with thin limbs proportional to his body, intelligent and cultured. Although for some, these are two things that are synonymous, the reality is that they are not.
He is the only male of 4 siblings, also the only one who has lived in the same house for over 50 years.

Carlos, of all things, is also my great uncle. He says that physically I look like him when I was young, although the truth is, I was never that thin. He tells me this and comments that I should look in his mirror, that this is what I will look like when I am his age.

He lives in the same house where, when they were young, my father, my uncles and their cousins played, ate, slept; where, when we had the whole family in the same country, we met and celebrated the end and beginning of the year.

A house that personally makes me remember good times and that tells a great part of the history of this branch of the family.

The empty room, my grandmother's aunt always slept here, a special person in the formation of my family. Her name was Evelia and although she is no longer physically there, her room is still empty.
