Indonesia is one of the countries that is able to maintain food security, even though at that time Covid 19 also attacked countries in the Southeast Asian region. It is almost certain that all provinces in Indonesia are required to be self-sufficient in food so that their people are able to face a pandemic or various other global crises.
In Aceh province for example; Grain is one of the priority agricultural crops to plant here. It is certain that rice fields are found in almost all districts/cities of the province. In this era of technological sophistication, the people of Aceh generally still use traditional farming and harvesting methods.
For example, in the area that I met this time, in the city of Matangklunpangdua; one of the sub-districts on the north coast of Aceh province, a number of mothers are ready to provide services to the owners of rice fields that are ready to harvest in the morning. Yes, the mothers here work as cutters for ready-to-harvest rice plants and usually they are able to complete the cutting manually (using a sickle) in half a day for a fairly large planting area.
Apart from working individually, sometimes they also work in groups and depending on the area of rice fields ready for harvest they will carry out manual cutting. So do not be surprised, if in the rural the harvest season is one of the long-awaited seasons, of course it gives its own blessings to a number of local people.
In this Monomad Challenge contest, I want to invite my friends to see some of Black and White photos catched by my camera; the activities of farmers Rice harvest in a traditional way in the area, I hope my friends enjoy it.
