SHOT ON THE ROCK || Monomad

Hello dear hivers and monochrome lovers. It's Monday and a new week begins, I hope it will be good for everyone.

A few days ago I was walking through several of the historical sites of Old Havana, a walk that I like so much and that I had not done for some time. I visited some of the oldest buildings of this city, in this post which is my entry to the #monomad challenge, I propose some shots of the architecture of the Castillo de la Real Fuerza, a building dating from the sixteenth century and is located in the Plaza de Armas, historic center of Old Havana.

This castle is characterized by a perfect symmetry, which is a characteristic of the Renaissance architecture of that time. The Giraldilla, a sculpture cast in bronze and one of the most representative symbols of Havana, is located in its tower. It is actually a replica since the original rests inside the castle, now a museum, and was made by the Havana sculptor Jerónimo Martín Pinzón.

In this visit I concentrated on the texture and the imposing construction of this building, in its walls and interiors.

Also details of the stairs and the contrasts of light they draw.
