Laughter and the Language of Love ENG/ESP

These newlyweds are one of the couples I’ve had the honor of photographing and felt especially good about their union. Both are extremely nice people, and the groom, whose name is Pedro, was especially funny.

Estos novios son de las parejas que he tenido el honor de fotografiar y sentirme especialmente bien en su unión. Ambos son personas sumamente agradables y en especial el novio, que su nombre es Pedro, era súper cómico.

Humor is one of the most useful skills one can have in life. Not everyone has the gift of making others laugh, and I think it doesn't come particularly easily to me, except for the humor I share with people who have known me for a long time. Because of that, a form of communication develops that has its own jokes and dynamics.

El humor es de las habilidades más útiles que uno puede tener en la vida. No todos tenemos el don de hacer reír y creo que a mí no se me da especialmente bien, salvo por el humor que manejo con las personas que me conocen desde hace bastante tiempo y por ende se desarrolla una forma de comunicación que tiene sus propios chistes o dinámicas.

I am fortunate that my partner and I both have a very similar sense of humor, and we have developed inside jokes that generally keep both of us in a very good mood. This couple I photographed, to me, must have very good communication because they both laughed a lot, and it was obvious that they were happy to share their internal jokes.

Con mi pareja tengo la fortuna de que ambos tenemos un sentido del humor bastante parecido y hemos desarrollado unos chistes que a ambos nos mantiene de bastante buen humor en general. Esta pareja que fotografié, para mí, deben tener una muy buena comunicación porque ambos reían mucho y se notaba que estaban felices de compartir sus chistes internos.
