A Stroll Along the River Dove

After walking one stretch of the River Dove in nice sunshine, the weather completely changed to hailstones on the way back.

This is my entry to the @monomad contest.

The River Dove is known for its trout fishing and was written about in the book 'The Compleat Angler' by Izaak Walton, who lived nearby from 1593-1683. This is the Izaak Walton Gauging Station that measures the flow of water in the river. Source

Unfortunately, like most tourist places, it gets spoilt with too many people about, but when there's nobody about, it is a lovely gentle stroll alongside the river with the view of the limestone crags on each side.
