Architecture and Photography

When we combine architecture and photography we usually find extraordinary results, since from my point of view they are two forms of art that perfectly reflect the great capabilities of human beings to adapt to their environment, keep alive the memory of the past and at the same time think about the greatness of their future. Photography as in architecture we can find factors in common, since to achieve great results in both it is necessary to provide a great amount of dedication, for this way to be able to make the perfect calculations and thus find an ideal environment for the structure to be built or the capture to be made.

Cuando conjugamos arquitectura y fotografía generalmente nos encontramos con resultados extraordinarios, ya que desde mi punto de vista se trata de dos formas de arte que reflejan a la perfección las grandes capacidades del ser humano para adaptarse a su entorno, mantener vivo el recuerdo del pasado y al mismo tiempo pensar en la grandeza de su futuro. La fotografía como en la arquitectura podemos encontrar factores en común, ya que para lograr grandes resultados en ambas es necesario aportar una gran cantidad de dedicación, para esta forma poder realizar los cálculos perfectos y así encontrarnos con un entorno ideal para la estructura que se va a construir o la captura que se va a realizar.

Modern cities are spaces that shine with their own light, in them we can find avant-garde constructions that defy the limits of the ordinary and flirt with a futuristic feeling that allows us to dream of the extravagance of what will be the buildings of the years to come. Enjoying large towers full of concrete and glass is an experience that has no comparison, which is why this time I decided to take a walk through the streets of the east of the city of Caracas, in the so-called golden mile, a space whose land value is highly valued, This is because it is a privileged area for the construction of real estate specifically dedicated to trade and business, it is here where many of the banks have their headquarters and where it is common to find large towers inside which guard the headquarters of insurance companies, companies engaged in the stock market business or embassies and diplomatic representations.

Las ciudades modernas son espacios que brillan con luz propia, en ellas podemos encontrar construcciones vanguardistas que desafían los límites de lo ordinario y coquetean con una sensación futurista que nos permite soñar con la extravagancia de lo que serán las edificaciones de los años por venir. Disfrutar de grandes torres llenas de concreto y cristal es una experiencia que no tiene comparación, es por ello que en esta oportunidad decidí lanzarme a caminar por las calles del este de la ciudad de Caracas, en la denominada milla de oro, un espacio cuyo valor del suelo es altamente cotizado, esto debido a que se trata de un área privilegiada para la construcción de inmuebles específicamente dedicados al comercio y los negocios, es acá en donde muchos de los bancos tienen sus sedes principales y en dónde es común encontrar grandes torres que en cuyo interior resguardan las sedes principales de las empresas de seguros, compañías dedicadas al negocio bursátil o embajadas y representaciones diplomáticas.

Architecture and photography also share a quality that makes them stand out above many other arts and is that in both abound the details, as these are the main elements that shape a great building or an excellent shot, it is in the small features where we find the true greatness and genius of human creation, it is there where we realize that we as a species have managed to overcome the obstacles of life and have found a way to leave an indelible legacy on this planet in which we live.

La arquitectura y la fotografía también comparten una cualidad que las hace resaltar por encima de muchas otras artes y es que en ambas abundan los detalles, pues son estos los elementos principales que le dan forma a un gran edificio o a una excelente toma, es en las pequeñas características en donde encontramos la verdadera grandeza y genialidad de la creación humana, es allí en donde nos damos cuenta de que nosotros como especie hemos logrado superar los obstáculos de la vida y hemos encontrado la forma de dejar un legado imborrable en este planeta en el cual nos ha tocado vivir.

In such a multifaceted, hectic and stressful capital I decided to make my tour on a Saturday morning, this to take advantage of the first rays of the sun and thus be able to have in my favor the natural brightness that nature gives us these hours on the north of South America, which can generate much clearer, sharper and at the same time fantastic images, fortunately I was accompanied by a completely clear sky, which gives me nuances that mark each image perfectly.

En una capital tan multifacética, agitada y estresante decidí hacer mi recorrido un sábado por la mañana, esto para aprovechar los primeros rayos del sol y así poder tener a mi favor el brillo natural que estas horas nos regala la naturaleza sobre el norte del sur de América, con lo cual se pueden generar imágenes mucho más claras, nítidas y al mismo tiempo fantásticas, afortunadamente me acompañó un cielo totalmente despejado, el cual me regala matices que marcan cada imagen de forma perfecta.

I hope that both you and I have enjoyed to the fullest this quiet but pleasant tour through the streets of a city that I fall in love with every day, because it is a capital that has a varied and exquisite architecture, which gives us a perfect climate and whose people always welcome us with open arms, it is a space where we can move easily, we can discover interesting images and at the same time we can vibrate to the rhythm of a Caribbean and Latin American feeling which generates an atmosphere of constant happiness, harmony and that in general terms is unique in the world.

Espero que tanto ustedes como yo hayan disfrutado al máximo de este recorrido tranquilo pero agradable por las calles de una ciudad que me enamora cada día más, ya que se trata de una capital que cuenta con una arquitectura variada y exquisita, que nos regala un clima perfecto y cuya gente siempre nos recibe con los brazos abiertos, se trata de un espacio en donde podemos desplazarnos con facilidad, podemos descubrir imágenes interesantes y al mismo tiempo podemos vibrar al ritmo de un sentir caribeño y latinoamericano el cual genera un ambiente de constante felicidad, armonía y que en términos generales es único en el mundo.
