Hello friends of Black and White in #Hive... This is my entry to today's #monomad challenge... So I wanted to share half a dozen street photos, where I've left aside the usual, as I almost always try to capture neat and even cheerful scenes in the streets of my village. But this is something that can't be done all the time... And sometimes it provokes me to record the most meagre, the most "crude" of the daily life of our people in a perhaps irreverent or even anarchic way, depending on the crystal through which one looks at it.

So, let's move on to the photos before I start to ramble on, as is often the case with me... :)

This is a type of photography with a significant emotional content for me.... Because I have always lived in this village and I remember it in its heyday, when it was one of the main agricultural centres of our country. But that was many years ago, now it's different, now the economic depression is fully reflected in some of its streets...

However, in spite of everything, it is still a good place to live... Perhaps the same crisis that kept it away from progress has meant that it has retained some of its rural charm... Maybe that too is not the best thing for most of the inhabitants, but it is still good for those of us who want to live a more peaceful old age. That's life I suppose, always with its contradictions.

And on the other hand... In how many places in the world can you see a 1972 Ford Cortina passing by on the streets on a daily basis... Huh?... ha ha ha... It's definitely a strange town!... But I still like it. ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by and appreciating, we'll see you again soon. Hugs to all.

I like how you portraitted the 'city life'. They do very well in monochrome!
I'm always amazed how some cities and villages have hundreds of cables across the streets between the houses. How can you keep the overview of what goes where 😀
Nice series again my friend 👍

Thank you very much for the support and appreciation my friend.... Gee, you're right... I look daily at this impressive mess of cables and I still don't understand what each one is... There are TV, electricity and analogue telephone cables... They all get mixed up in a crazy way!.. ha ha ha ;) Cheers!

Hi my friend, street photos are the best way to see people's daily life.
In many cases, color photos make things more lively. But in this case, your black and white photos make life there more idyllic.
