Late yesterday afternoon, a torrential downpour unexpectedly swept over the town's valley, even for those of us who regularly check the weather reports, as none of them warned of such a torrential downpour in those last hours of daylight. This, in a way, is an unmistakable sign of how unpredictable the weather has become lately, here and everywhere in the world, I suppose... Be that as it may, this unexpected downpour left the town's streets full of puddles and signs of dampness today. The townspeople seemed taciturn and still surprised by what had happened, and even the usual morning fog seemed confused, appearing in some streets, disappearing in others, or dramatically defying the rising sun on the eastern horizon... And, amidst all this, as is also my custom, I spent about 90 minutes capturing time images to share with you later here on #Hive...

Al final de la tarde de ayer un aguacero torrencial torrencial se derramó sobre el valle del pueblo de manera imprevista, incluso para aquellos quienes solemos revisar cotidianamente los reportes del clima. Pues ninguno de estos advertía sobre semejante cantidad de lluvia en esas ultimas horas con luz solar. Esto, de alguna manera, es señal inequívoca de cuan impredecible es el clima últimamente aquí y en cualquier parte del mundo, supongo... Sea como sea, este imprevisto aguacero hizo que hoy las calles del pueblo estuviesen repletas de charcas y señales de humedad, también la gente del pueblo parecía taciturna y aún sorprendida por lo acontecido, e incluso la acostumbrada niebla matutina parecía confundida, apareciendo en algunas calles, desapareciendo en otras o desafiando al sol elevándose en el Este del horizonte, de manera dramática... Y, en medio de todo esto, como es también costumbre, anduve yo durante unos 90 minutos robando imágenes al tiempo para compartirlas luego con ustedes aquí en #Hive...

It's fantastic, but as I've said before, this is a town that can "change with the weather," and I think my photos today demonstrate that. It seems to me that small places like this are more prone than larger urban centers to these kinds of mood swings, for reasons as specific as a heavy afternoon downpour and a night without electricity (because it wasn't until around 3:00 AM that we had power again after the storm). So, it seems to me, this "disrupts" people's moods and, consequently, the very energy of the streets. But all of this is perhaps part of that cornucopia of things within me, which I call "my personal quirks," and which—in a way—help me to be sensitive to these changes and to take photographs that reflect them. Besides, obviously, sometimes writing a few lines about what I see, understand, and observe... And now please go ahead and look at the "vertical" photos, because I divided this post into a first part in horizontal format and now these remaining ones in vertical format for you...

Es fantástico, pero ya lo he dicho antes, este es un pueblo que puede "cambiar según el clima" y creo que mis fotografías de hoy así lo demuestran... Me parece que este tipo de lugares pequeños es más proclive que los núcleos urbanos más grandes, a este tipo de cambios digamos "de humor" por razones tan puntuales como un gran aguacero vespertino y una noche sin servicio eléctrico (porque fue apenas a eso de las 3:00 AM cuando volvimos a tener electricidad pasado el temporal climático)... Entonces esto, me parece, "trastoca" el ánimo de la gente y por ende la energía misma de las calles. Pero todo estos quizás forma parte de esa cornucopia de cosas en mi, las cuales llamo "mis delirios particulares" y que -de alguna manera- me ayudan a ser sensible a estos cambios y a hacer fotografías reflejándolos. Además de, obviamente, algunas veces escribir un puñado de líneas en torno a lo que miro, entiendo y observo... Y ahora por favor, continúen adelante y vean las fotos "verticales", pues dividí este post en una primera parte con formato horizontal y ahora estas restantes así e vertical para ustedes...
