Hello #Hive friends!... Already two years have passed since I started here at #Hive and this has to be celebrated by doing what I like to do the most here in this lovely ecosystem: "Black and white street photography"... And obviously my birthday post had to be with an entry for the #monomad challenge!...

¡Hola amigos en #Hive!... Han pasado ya dos años desde que comencé aquí en #Hive y esto hay que celebrarlo haciendo lo que más me gusta hacer aquí en este encantador ecosistema: "Fotografías callejeras en blanco y negro"... Y obviamente mi publicación de cumpleaños tenía que ser con una entrada para el reto #monomad!...

I started taking street photos between 2011 and 2012 as far as I remember (I'm quite bad at remembering almost anything, especially dates). But the truth is that until the end of 2021 I was doing my work as a street photographer in a rather more terse and simple way, although I really enjoyed doing it. Before, my photos mostly ended up in people's private messaging and in other cases in my web 2.0 social networks. The same went for my writings, which were rarely mixed with the photos and I would post them individually or share them with family members. But this all changed radically when I came to #Hive....

Comencé a hacer fotos de calle entre 2011 y 2012 según recuerdo (soy bastante malo para recordar casi cualquier cosa, en especial las fechas). Pero lo cierto es que hasta finales de 2021 hacía mi trabajo como fotógrafo callejero de una manera bastante más escueta y simple, aunque me gustaba mucho hacerlo. Antes mis fotos iban a parar en su mayoría a la mensajería privada de las personas y en otros casos a mis redes sociales de la web 2.0. Lo mismo sucedía con mis escritos, los cuales rara vez eran mezclados con las fotografías y los publicaba individualmente o los compartía con familiares. Pero todo esto cambió radicalmente cuando llegué a #Hive...

I remember I found #Hive while I was looking for spaces where I could share my photographs (and maybe my writings) and at the same time receive some kind of remuneration thanks to this kind of content. I had already made some attempts with stock photography but the results were not totally satisfactory. So one day I stumbled upon #Hive, opened an account and spent more than 30 or 40 days "just watching" without posting anything (I hate asking others and I also feel uncomfortable when others teach me about something, that's how crazy I can be!)... After spending all that time looking at things in this ecosystem, I became fascinated by how things happen here. I found the diversity of functional applications fascinating, the constant evolution and on top of that, I fell in love with how the topics here in #Hive were organised by communities. I realised that #Hive is a Web 3.0 ecosystem with a huge potential and a very good design for the kind of things I loved to do and that was (I repeat) "Sharing photos and what I usually write"...

Recuerdo que supe sobre #Hive mientras estaba buscando espacios en donde poder compartir mis fotografías (y quizás mis escritos) y al mismo tiempo poder recibir algún tipo de remuneración gracias a este tipo de contenido. Ya había hecho algunos intentos con la fotografía de stock pero los resultados no fueron totalmente satisfactorios. Así fue como un día me topé con #Hive, me abrí una cuenta y estuve más de 30 o 40 días "solamente observando" sin publicar nada (odio preguntar a otros y también me siento incomodo cuando me enseñan respecto a algo, así de loco puedo estar y ser)... Después de estar todo ese tiempo mirando las cosas en este ecosistema, quedé prendado de como sucedían las cosas aquí. Me pareció fascinante la diversidad de aplicaciones funcionales, la contante evolución y por encima de todo eso me enamoré de como la temática aquí en #Hive se organizaba por comunidades. Me percaté de que #Hive es un ecosistema Web 3.0 con un potencial enorme y un diseño muy bueno para el tipo de cosas que yo amaba hacer y que era (repito) "Compartir fotos y y aquello que suelo escribir"...

After that everything started to evolve naturally and since I discovered #monomad my love for black and white street photography found an ideal niche to be shared. This ended up boosting my way of taking this kind of photos and now it's something I do almost every day. I also realised that behind each photo I had a lot of memories worth telling. That's how I started to give titles to these photos and many times I would pleasantly expand on them by writing down everything I remember and think about them. This has been such a good thing for me, that it is now something I do as part of my daily routine. But this was not all that happened, as I also discovered that some of my content could be made with colour photographs and I have even experimented with digitally transforming my photographs. So #Hive has brought out some capabilities in me that I didn't know about or had rarely used before.

Después de eso todo comenzó a evolucionar de manera natural y desde que descubrí #monomad mi afición por la fotografía callejera en blanco y negro encontró un nicho ideal para ser compartida. Esto terminó por potenciar mi manera de hacer este tipo de fotos y ahora es algo que hago casi a diario. También comprendí que detrás de cada foto tenía un montón de memorias dignas de ser contadas. Así fue como comencé a dar títulos a estas fotos y muchas veces me explayaba gratamente escribiendo todo lo que recuerdo y pienso en torno a ellas. Esto ha sido algo tan bueno para mi, que ahora es algo que suelo hacer como parte de mu rutina diaria. Pero esto no fue todo lo que sucedió, pues también descubrí que parte de mi contenido podía ser hecho con fotografías a colores e incluso he llegado a hacer experimentos de transformación digital de mis fotografías. Así que #Hive ha hecho aflorar en mí algunas capacidades las cuales no conocía o había usado muy pocas veces con anterioridad.

And well!... I can now proudly say that I am "The crazy guy with the camera in my hand"!... And I take this post to thank everyone here at #Hive for all the wonderful things you've been since I've been here... I won't go into a long list of users and communities, that's not my style. In fact I don't usually celebrate my birthday since I was 7 years old!... (I always cried on all my birthdays seeing a lot of people coming to my house and having to be there playing games and listening to music and stuff, so my mum one day opted not to organize my parties, always keeping the hope that I would ask for it myself at some point, but so far it hasn't happened, hahaha... That's how crazy I can be!)... However, #Hive has marked such a relevant milestone in my life and has become such a pleasurable place to be, that I can even get over my strange adversity for celebrating dates and write this that I'm writing today as a deep thank you to everyone in our ecosystem... Hive are all of us and #Hive are always!... The potential of this wonderful corner of web 3.0 is enormous, we all know that. So it seems to me that we are in the right place at the right time...

¡Y bien!... ¡Ahora puedo decir orgullosamente que soy "El tipo loco con la cámara en la mano"!... Y aprovecho este post para dar gracias a todos aquí en #Hive por todo lo maravilloso que han sido desde que estoy aquí... No me dedicaré a hacer una larga lista de usuarios y comunidades, ese no es mi estilo. De hecho ¡No suelo celebrar mi cumpleaños desde los 7 años de edad!... (Siempre lloraba en todos mis cumpleaños al ver mucha gente llegar a mi casa y tener que estar allí jugando y escuchando música y cosas así, así que mi madre un día optó por no organizar mis fiestas, siempre guardando la esperanza de que yo mismo lo pidiese en algún momento, pero hasta ahora no ha pasado, hahaha... ¡Así de loco puedo estar!)... Sin embargo, #Hive a marcado un hito tan relevante en mi vida y se ha convertido en un lugar tan placentero para estar, que incluso puedo superar mi extraña adversión para con la celebración de fechas y escribir esto que hoy estoy escribiendo a manera de agradecimiento profundo para con todos en nuestro ecosistema... ¡#Hive somos todos y #Hive somos siempre!... El potencial de este rincón maravilloso de la web 3.0 es enorme, eso lo sabemos todos. Así que me parece que estamos en el lugar correcto y en el momento correcto...
