Having too much to work with used to be a challenge in the darkroom, so that combined with cost taught me to prioritize & get it right on the spot, in the camera.
These days this can easily get almost out of control of course! So its no wonder that the last posts from the trip to Ho Chi Minh had to wait until now...
The good part of digital is of course that images like this one can come forward among the hundreds of photos, where everything is movement but the eyes still come out sharp 🙂
Also I keep discovering these images where the drivers have spotted me, most seem to be fine with it, but its more frequent than I thought when I was at the spot.
These two younger guys seem to be curious and maybe amused?
These two guys on the other hand are tired... This corner has some complex traffic flow, so better focus!
I can totally relate to that tiredness, I did professional driving for a few years, 30+ tons going on rails through the inner city of all things...
Next time I'll focus on these moments when there is movement in all directions at once, it looks chaotic right then, but of course its all flowing.
I can do what I want here when it comes to format! So here is a panorama of a pan, at that speed the lines stretch out in straight lines, which really isolates the driver & motorbike well.
Of course I know nothing about all the people that fly by, but this just have to be a daughter driving her mother around 🙂
He'd got it loaded up well! Should not be extremely heavy, though...
Now this is a real house on wheels haha! Or a pavillion I guess... It does not look like its transported, maybe its used as part of some traditional ceremonies? Or maybe it belongs to a hotel?
I think this old guy had a flat tire... Looks extremely tiring and cumbersome, especially in the heat and all of that traffic...
In this area most of the traffic is connected to work, restaurants and workshops, but this Maybach appeared out of nowhere. Quite some contrast, to the right of it are chickens & roosters for sale in cages...
This guy was fixing something. I used to do this style of photography a lot in the late nineties, but maybe its a bit boring compared to the rest?
Next up is probably the rest of what I have from the markets, will have to work through it all tomorrow!
And that is all for today 😁
Thanks!
