[ #english ] Hello dear friends of the #blackandwhite community, once again I return to my blog to show you another detail of my city and its people, the theme selected to participate in today's #monomad has as its title.

...Yarey's jaba...

Through my images I will be showing you one of the oldest outfits used by the Cuban population.

There are many styles of Jabas designed by Cubans to look for food to the market. Below I show you some examples of jabas built with plastic tapes used to protect the boxes that transport household appliances.

However, the most used for many years is the Yarey, this is made with the leaves of the palm, for its lightness and strength they are ideal for carrying and transporting food.

They have been designed and built for years by the Cuban peasantry, we can see them in different sizes and models, being used both in the city and in the countryside.

Today I bring you a selection of images related to its use, I hope you like it, excuse my short introduction, but I am of few words, that's why I love photographs, they speak better than me.

[ #spanish ] Hola estimados amigos de la comunidad #blackandwhite, una vez más regreso a mi blog para mostrarles otro detalle de mi ciudad y de su gente, el tema seleccionado para participar en el #monomad de hoy tiene como título.

…La jaba de Yarey…

A través de mis imágenes les estaré mostrando uno de los atuendos más antiguos utilizados por la población cubana.

Existen muchos estilos de Jabas diseñadas por los cubanos para buscar los alimentos al mercado.

Abajo te muestro algunos ejemplos de jabas construidos con cintas plásticas utilizadas para proteger las cajas que transportan equipos electrodomésticos.

Sin embargo, la más utilizada desde hace muchos años es la de Yarey, esta es confeccionada con las hojas de la palma, por su ligereza y fortaleza son ideales para cargar y transportar alimentos.

Las mismas han sido diseñadas y construidas durante años por el campesinado cubano, las podemos ver en diferentes tamaños y modelos, utilizándose tanto en la ciudad como en el campo.

Hoy les traigo una selección de imagen relacionadas con su uso, espero que les guste, disculpen mi corta introducción, pero soy de pocas palabras, por eso adoro las fotografías, ellas hablan mejor que yo.
