Hello to all my friends in the black and white community. I hope you're all doing well and that everything is going smoothly there. I'm back with another photoshoot and another blog, armed with a truly extraordinary and unique model. A fighter, a warrior who seems to have spent his entire life in the ring.
His body, covered in tattoos, and his sculpted, cool physical style remind me of one of the characters in the PlayStation game, God of War, specifically the anti-hero character, Baldur. If you remember, I once modeled him and took a photo that showed a striking resemblance to Baldur. This time, I've come to show you another side of my model, Hamid, in this blog, a black and white chiaroscuro photoshoot. In this dimension, we see more of Hamid's true emotional state, a person who seems to have been alone and at war all his life, someone who is his own hope and whose wins and losses are entirely his own, even though most of us have experienced similar circumstances to Hamid's.
Without further ado, let's dive into today's photos. We have quite a few photos today, so let's sit down and enjoy them together.
For my photography, I used a black backdrop and three lights: a key light for the main lighting, another light shining from behind his head. Since I wanted to emphasize the darkness in this photoshoot, I didn't use fill light or backlight, and I wanted to have more pronounced shadows, as this photography project required.
Here, we see a few full-body shots that show Hamid is covered in tattoos from head to toe. It was interesting to learn that he put a lot of thought into his tattoos to find the perfect design for him, and each tattoo seemed to have its own story. It was quite complex, and I realized this whenever we talked.
And how interesting it was to see that, despite his appearance, he sometimes had a kind and compassionate heart. In this photoshoot, I broke a lot of rules. In fact, I often deviated from the standard lighting guidelines to achieve new results. One of the photos I named "Hope" is a shot where only one light source shines from above while Hamid looks up, and the rest of the photo is dark. I didn't want to miss any details.
I gave Hamid an object to hold behind him, while he leaned his head towards the camera at a profile angle, revealing part of the tattoos on his back. He had a tattoo of the Angel of Death. Hamid's cinematic face, with its sharp features, came close to the standards we see in Hollywood films - gladiator movies, historical films, or even action movies. I think it could be a great opportunity for him to test himself in future video projects.
I think this post can be a testament to how much the choice of model can impact your photography project. To all of you who have been with me until the end of this post, I hope you have a wonderful day. Take care of yourselves. Until next time, farewell.
