Hello everyone, my fellow black-and-white photography enthusiasts! I hope you're all doing well. I'm Menti, your usual stylish self, back with another photoshoot and another blog post. This time, I've captured a model in a classic suit in a wide-open forest setting, experimenting with a unique composition. Let's dive into a few of these shots together, and I'd love to hear your feedback.
For the first two photos, I used a 70mm lens. I wanted to get close to my model while still achieving a soft, blurry background. The beautiful bokeh was something this lens provided at this focal length. I opted for classic, masculine poses that exuded a sense of dignity. My model was a fantastic collaborator, and everything went smoothly.
Next, I switched to a 24mm focal length and pointing the camera upward. This created a more imposing look and allowed me to capture a wider environment.
I focused on achieving the best possible poses and lighting. The pose where the model is leaning against the tree, with the sun in the perfect spot, had a truly magical feel.
Photographing male models in a classic style has been an incredible experience. I'm eager to continue exploring this genre in the future.
As always, I've prepared the photos in black and white for my beloved community and to participate in the monomad challenge.
Backstage:
Here I am editing the photo and trying to achieve a certain black and white composition that leaves a gray tonality in it.
I use Photoshop and the latest version of Camera Raw.
Thank you for accompanying me to the end of this post. Have a wonderful day!"
