The Weaselhead natural area is a great spot for recreation, just on the edge of the city of Calgary. It borders the Tsuu T'ina which is a first nations reserve that encompasses the land on the other side of Weaselhead. The land was originally purchased by the city to create the Glenmore reservoir, which is as large as a lake.
There are plenty of forests and water to enjoy, with many trails winding throughout. I found it to be a great spot for some landscape photos. There are so many elements that can combine into great scenes, along with the water and trees. There are usually some people on kayaks and canoes if you want to include them in some shots. I like that this was a slightly cloudy day too as it definitely added some drama to the skies.
Congratulations. Today's #monomad first place is yours.
