My entry to today's Monomad Challenge: November Insects.

I should start the post with the best photograph but to be honest I'm not going to do it that way, whenever I go out to take pictures it happens that the first image almost always has something wrong and the next one too, and from the third and fourth photograph onwards I start to see some improvement in the technique, it's like getting into a photographic mode and mentality in each shot.

Yesterday I decided to take advantage of the fact that the temperature begins to drop at night and at sunrise the insects are very slow and allow me to take pictures of them more easily, I started with this butterfly to which I took three pictures, from the second one I began to like the framing, but definitely the third image was much better.

The fourth photograph was of another type of butterfly and I definitely love the contrast I got here, the composition may not be the cleanest or the best as for my taste it lacks a bit of elements in the composition, or to have tried something more like negative space, but the photograph works.

And speaking of improvements, the following image is by far my favorite of the whole day, the contrast is unique, I feel the elements around the worm add the necessary information to understand the composition, I feel the framing is perfect.

And since I liked the picture too much, I leave it here in color so you can enjoy it, but only one picture because we are in a black and white post.

The following moth I think, could also be one of my favorites because of the contrast and the negative space, no doubt this image could be used in stock photography.

The next dragonfly was warming up under the sun's rays, lucky for me.

The next butterfly looked pretty good, but I didn't think too much about the background when taking the picture and I feel like the background burned out too much but you know I like to include my mistakes too because they tell my story.

And finally as I promised, here we have the flower of the plant known as achiote, it is pink by the way, and this is all for today, see you in about 3 days in the next post.
