Street photography...
A few words at the beginning. I've never posted on a @monmad challenge before. Also I am a beginner. It's been a while since I joined Hive. Only black and white photos are uploaded to this community. I was interested to see it. I like black and white. Street photography especially looks great in black and white. Moreover, black and white is a favorite topic. It is like an art. I can't really explain. There was a time, when everything was black & white. B&W still carries on a legacy of yesteryear. And everything old has a different beauty. Anyway, many people don't know me. Don't even know. You can visit my profile to know about me. Welcome to you. This is my first post on @monomad. Please forgive the mistakes, I will be grateful if you help me to correct the mistakes.
I am a travel photographer. But sometimes I do street photography. It is not always possible to travel. The travel object is an event type. At some point, photography while traveling is called travel photography. But since I can't always travel or find time to travel, it's not good to stop photography. So then I went out for a walk in the streets of the city. Then I took a picture. I don't own a camera. I borrowed the camera of acquaintances and then went out. Sometimes I go out with them. Then go around and take pictures. But although I feel bad about this, I feel bad to borrow a camera from someone else. One day there will be a camera, I spend my days hoping. So I try to take photos regularly to retain my photography knowledge and keep my photography mind sharp.
"Knowledge is never wasted, it is always useful"
Street photography was never by me. Fear worked in the mind. I was shy to take pictures of strangers. Who says what, any trouble is created or not. I used to think these things. So I kept talking to street photographers I knew. I gained knowledge from them. But that didn't work either. Hands-on education, called practical knowledge, was not mine. Later I made another plan. I used to walk with them on the streets of the city. I can do some follow up on them now. Now everything is easy. And if I don't do photography for a few months it becomes difficult again.
Today's photographs are of an underdeveloped area. I selected the slum area next to this railway line hoping to get a good picture. Although there are many risks in these places. Because there are many types of people here. There are people ranging from scoundrels to worse. They can attack you while intoxicated, rob you and take everything. There are many risks.
But such a location is a good place to take pictures. So I could not handle the greed. However, once I went to such a location and lost my camera in the hands of robbers.
I went out on a Friday morning. I reached the spot around 9-10 am. I can witness different pictures/moments of people's life during holidays. Fix Friday with this excitement.
I went to the destination by bus. I went along the side of the railway line to the front road. Generally, the roads next to railway lines in Bangladesh are not cleaned. The roads near the station are dirtier. These are not easy things to bear. I used face mask to get rid of bad smell.
Basti area starts after 4-5 minutes walk. I went inside slowly.....seeing that I felt a little sick, I did not go inside. I clicked some pictures from outside or nearby.
As it was Friday, most of the men in this area did not go out for any work today. They spend a week off. And on this holiday, clean shave, haircut, etc. are arranged. I took a close short of some of these. I didn't have to hear any comment from anyone. Although I was very shy.
Clicked several pictures and did not stay there. I came back to the railway platform.
Several people were sleeping here. Elderly/middle aged people. Took some good photoshoots.
I left there after some time. Didn't really like it. Because I went alone. I was feeling the same way that feelings work when you go to an unfamiliar place alone.
