Winter streets #monomad

समुदाय के प्यारे सदस्यों को नमस्कार। मुझे आशा है कि आप सभी अच्छे होंगे और अपने प्रियजनों के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण समय का आनंद ले रहे है।

Today I’m sharing a few street photos. One thing about living in the hills is that you have to walk everywhere, and most of the time it’s an uphill climb. We had come by bus, but after getting off, we still had to walk all the way up. It’s tiring, but there’s also the slow climb, the fresh air, and the small glimpses of daily life along the way.

आज मैं कुछ स्ट्रीट फ़ोटो साझा कर रही हूँ। पहाड़ों में रहने की एक खास बात यह है कि यहाँ कहीं भी जाना हो, तो ज़्यादातर पैदल ही चलना पड़ता है और रास्ते अक्सर चढ़ाई वाले होते हैं। हम बस से आए थे, लेकिन बस से उतरने के बाद भी हमें ऊपर तक काफ़ी चढ़ना पड़ा। थोड़ी थकान तो होती है, पर पहाड़ी रास्तों की ठंडी हवा, शांति और आसपास का नज़ारा इस चलते हुए सफ़र को भी सुंदर बना देता है।

These days, peanuts are being sold everywhere because winter has started, and it’s the perfect peanut season. Street vendors can be seen selling them on almost every corner. They even keep a small fire burning beside them,maybe to roast the raw peanuts, though I’m not entirely sure.

आजकल हर जगह मूँगफली मिल रही होती है, क्योंकि सर्दियाँ आ गई हैं और यह मूँगफली का मौसम है। स्ट्रीट वेंडर भी हर तरफ़ मूँगफली बेचते दिख जाते हैं। उनके पास एक तरह की आग भी जलती रहती है।शायद कच्ची मूँगफली भूनने के लिए, लेकिन मुझे पूरी तरह यक़ीन नहीं है।

Winter fruits have started arriving now...like sweet lime and guava. Oranges must have come too, I think. There was a small cart nearby filled with lots of fresh fruits.

अब सर्दियों के फल भी आने लगे हैं।जैसे मौसमी और अमरूद। शायद संतरे भी आ गए होंगे। वहाँ एक ठेला रखा था जिस पर बहुत सारे ताज़ा फल लगे हुए थे।

There were posters put up, probably of a newly released movie.

वहाँ पोस्टर लगे थे, शायद किसी नई आई हुई फिल्म का।

As we walked further, we also passed by the hospital side. People were going about their own work, and a few monkeys were sitting there enjoying the sunshine.

थोड़ा आगे जाकर हम अस्पताल की तरफ़ भी गए। लोग अपने-अपने काम में लगे हुए थे, और कुछ बंदर धूप सेंक रहे थे।
