A Quick Devotional on Jeremiah 29:11-13

Isn't it amazing how faithful God is?

I sit in awe sometimes as I read scripture. Over and over man fails. Over and over we separate ourselves from where we were meant to be; with God. Yet, over and over, He shows forgiveness, grace and mercy. He redeems us.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 says, "For I know the plans I have for you - this is the Lords declaration - plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. You will call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you search me with all your heart."

When we open our hearts and trust in God, turning to Him in prayer in complete faith that He is WHO HE SAYS HE IS, amazing things happen. He shows up. Why? Simply because He says that He will. And God always keeps His promise!

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your never ending, unconditional love. Help me to love others like You do; in truth and from a place of joy. Thank You for always keeping Your promise. God, You are so good! Thank You for giving us confidence in Your Word. I love You! Let my thoughts, my words and my actions today bring glory to You in all that I do!

Amen!
