Being on the road all alone allows for some deep reflection. And as always, when I'm in my mind, I'm usually thinking....Heavenward.
That's mainly because Matthew 6:33 has taken up the bulk of my thoughts, as the way I want to live my life for Christ. Seeking Him always, first and foremost. Which brings me to the set up for today's post...
I had an interesting conversation with a friend of mine on chain recently. They were talking about being burned out with all the crypto hype and wanted to take a break from it all. I agreed with them completely because to be honest, the 'hype' behind crypto left me years ago.
Don't get me wrong, I love this blockchain and the entire #web3 concept. However if I didn't feel like I could talk about my faith here, sadly I'd be gone. Because like I mentioned to my friend, all I ever want to talk about these days is...Jesus Christ.
And here's the honest truth....
In this kind of environment, faith isn't the top priority for the bulk of the people on this chain. And I get it. A big chunk of the community are either atheist or agnostic. Especially those with large stake. So getting a post that talks about God, won't get the same support as something that talk about investing in crypto for example.
This is just an example, and it's not gospel per se (see what I did there?) However I'm under no illusion that these posts I make won't get a million eye balls.
Perfect!
I don't think that's what God has put into my heart when it comes to writing here on chain about my faith. I don't think these posts are supposed to attract huge audiences. I think they are supposed to reach one person...
Maybe that person loves God and wants to share their faith with me?
Maybe that one person is on the fence and isn't sure about which way to go when it comes to faith.
Maybe they are even a skeptic and want to have a friendly debate with me.
Or maybe, they are someone who is ready to commit their life to Christ.
Whoever that may be, I think that's the purpose of my blog posts. They aren't to reach the 99....They are to reach the 1.
And I think if we are believers followed Christ's example of the lost sheep, we could see how our witness can become powerful. This is how I know I can spread the gospel, it's not by forcing it down people's throats or even attracting 50 dollars in upvotes and two dozen comments.
It's by reaching one person.
And the best thing about this blockchain is that we can truly build relationships with that one person here. Through engagement, through communities, this is the perfect place for faith based conversations...Without the pressure of regular social media.
I know myself, I'm not after more followers. I want more people to follow Christ. And I hope these posts, in some small way, help people think about the big picture when it comes to faith.
I pray that when you are done reading this, God convicts you to talk to one more person about Christ!
So lovely! Your post can indeed change a life for Christ. May God protect you always, while you are away from family, and while you are with your family ❣️
thanks very much. appreciate that.
This is so inspiring Jongo.Do have a wonderful day.
True that genuine connections can make a world of difference, particularly in a space that often prioritizes hype over substance.
El Señor es mi pastor y nada me faltará 🙏
That is an inspiring lesson
