Don't be surprised by the name of the lens. This is the MTO-1000A, if you want to find it on the Internet. I'll just call him Monster. This name exactly corresponds to it both in weight and in firing range.
The tripod also corresponds to it. Together they weigh about 7 kg, not counting the box and the case. But how these beauties look!
I was lucky and there were objects for shooting at different distances at sea. At the same time, an average wind was blowing and I was able to assess the reliability of the tripod. Of course, it differs from the concrete slab, showed decent results. And most importantly, it is very easy to handle. He's definitely worth his money.
This "object" was right in the water at a distance of 200-300 meters. At the same time, he was constantly moving, which created certain difficulties in focusing. Finally, he began to go ashore. I show the following frames without processing.
there is a white balance correction here
100 percent magnification (crop), pay attention to the nature of the blur. Very artistic:)
Then I pointed the lens at a small rock about 20-50 meters away.
I can't remember at what distance these crows communicated with me...
And now... watch your hands. Do you see a ship anchored on the horizon? This is the work of a 28-70 lens at 28 mm focal length.
For comparison, the picture is taken with another lens (55-210 crop) at 69 mm focal length.
And finally the work of the Monster.
If we take into account the haze over the sea, which interferes with focusing, then the result is quite good.
And here you can even see the houses of the city, which is located about ... 50-70 km in a straight line.
210 мм
Conclusion for yourself.
Despite the reliable tripod, the presence of wind is contraindicated for shooting.
Large contrasting objects look better at large distances.
It is advisable to lengthen the lens hood and, if possible, exclude contoured light sources.
And in general, I was satisfied with the work of the Monster, but I still have to improve in its use.
Finally the telescope is in proper outdoors action! :)))
It has very pleasant bokeh, I think.
I guess that would be a bit challenging but maybe it will work well on portraits as well. It will definitely separate the background. ;)

I had to buy a tripod specially for him. This is still about 3 kg of weight))
His bokeh on the stones resembles cotton wool and generally creates an interesting haze, which creates an additional volume.
On portraits... I can't imagine the distance at which the model should be for a full-length portrait... at least 100 meters... it's good for hunting, but how do you tell her to "turn your head a little to the right"?
🤣😂 😅

Great :)
Who says full-body? :) Faces and parts of them are so beautiful and interesting! :)
What's its minimal focusing distance?
!PIZZA
At least 10 meters... I have to try if I can see the whole head or just one ear)))
!BEER
I think the minimal focusing distance should be written somewhere on the lens itself ;)
!PIZZA
The description indicates 10 meters. I think that's the way it is. Need to check :-))
!BEER
Wow. Huge. Probably my portrait idea is not good at all, hehehe.
Paparazzi lens, maybe :)

Such Monster would be mayby also good to make a photos of clouds?
I think the clouds are too big for him. The surface of the moon in the full moon will be just right))

Ok, during writing my comment I supposed that it maybe is even to much zoom.
:-))

And I appreciate that!
That's less a lens and more a telescope. You could hurt someone with that!
... only if I hit someone on the head or drop it on someone's leg... 🤣😂 😅
