Though it has only been a little over a week since the previous report, a lot of events has occured which sped up the release of this article. If you have not yet read the previous one, go check it out in this link. A lot of new things have popped in Axie Infinity including the new update, more Battles V2 leaks and the dreaded 800 MMR update. You might feel lost with the staggering amount of events that have occured. So we have decided to collate all the juiciest, meatiest, and most controversial news from announcements as well as tweets from the developers of Axie Infinity.
No More SLP in 800 MMR & Delayed Version 1.1.0A
With Season 19 around the corner, a new update for Axie Infinity will be implemented as well.
Version 1.1.0a will be bringing a lot of changes in the Arena. One of the most important changes will be concerning SLP earnings of those with 800 and below MMR. Players who are playing in this MMR bracket will no longer earn SLP in adventure and daily quests aside from no earnings from Arena. This news shocked and disappointed a lot of players, especially those with weaker Axie teams. The support staff of Axie Infinity has announced later on the reason for this update.
It is none other than to combat "bots" or bot farms.
But this reasoning has been met by the outcry of several players, knowing that it is easy to bypass this problem simply by creating a fresh account to start in 1200 once again. Here is the tweet of Jihoz with regards to their battle against bots.
Moments after this announcement was made, several players decided to quit playing Axie by selling their Axies in the marketplace.
A massive surge of floor Axies were listed - an obvious way for some players to cut losses and recoup some of their capital. Despite this bearish news, players decided to purchase these floor Axies. Based on what the players said in Discord, they wish to increase their Energy by purchasing these floor Axies which is a smart move. Aside from that, there were a lot of hidden gems among those floor Axies.
A lot of managers were torn due to replacing some of their scholars with others. This is especially true to those with elderly scholars and those who took in their relatives. However, there is also another side to this. Some managers found out that their newer scholars were able to maintain an acceptable MMR. The newer scholars were able to make proper use of the previous teams that were stuck in 800 mmr.
The newest version of the game has been released but was riddled by an extensive amount of bugs and errors popping up.
Skills such as "Risky Fish" did not buff the Axie despite being used against Plant, Dusk and Reptile Axies. Some players have also complained that their Axies were reverted back to level 1. Stats of some Axies have also changed according to some players. Their Plant Axies suddenly had 35+ speed despite having 31 speed originally. This led to the recall of the newer version with the purpose of further fine tuning.
Those mentioned above were not the only updates that were included.
Axies that are gifted from one Ronin account to another will now automatically have their levels reverted to 1. Previously, managers were able to breed Axies by temporarily gifting the paired Axies then bringing it back to their respective accounts without having their levels downgraded. Despite not being a grave news, this recent bug fix has been a minor inconvenience to small-time breeders.
Now for the good news, "Challenges" are back!
Just simply get your friend's ronin address and add them in-game. This will allow for friendly sparring sessions which could improve PVP prowess of players. This is important especially due to the recent "800 MMR No SLP" update.
"RON WEN": Ronin Dex Coming Soon?
The support specialists in Axie Infinity Discord Server have replaced their profile picture with a mysterious "RON WEN". Now for some speculations we have from this mysterious event. It is possible that RON is the omen for Ronin Dex to arrive. "RON" reminds us of "UNI", which is the native coin for Uniswap(a Decentralized Exchange in Ethereum).

Another clue or omen is this retweet. The tweet about Ronin Dex a few months ago is suddenly retweeted by Jihoz. Seems suspicious, right? Who knows, Ronin Dex might be just around the corner. We sure hope it is!
Blockchain Games: STEAM Bans While Epic Games Open

The news that Steam has banned NFT games on its platform has been one of the biggest events this month. Steam, one of the biggest platforms for games, has added another rule which is detrimental towards NFT games in general. As we all know, there are some blockchain games planned to be released on Steam such as Age of Rust. It is more than likely that the plans of the developers of NFT games are scrapped.
In response to this event, Sky Mavis has challengingly tweeted that Mavis Hub will represent that path where players own the game while leading economic freedom. It seems that Mavis hub has a lot in store since they have the guts to challenge Steam. This could also be considered as bullish news since big companies of traditional games are feeling threatened by blockchain games.
Contrary to Steam's decision, Epic Games are open towards NFT gaming.
In a recent tweet of Tim Sweeney, founder of Epic Games, we can see that the founder of Epic Games has stated that NFT games will be welcomed as long as they are "following the relevant laws, disclose their terms, and are age-rated by an appropriate group".
But this statement of Tim Sweeney has perplexed some people due to his previous post regarding NFT games. In his previous tweet, he disparged NFT games as “scam” as well as saying that Epic Games will not be touching NFT Games in general.

Elijah Creates a New Esports Team: METAT8
Goodbye "Axie on the Moon".
This was the proclamation of Elijah, one of the top players of Axie Infinity in his recent YouTube video. This does not mean that he is letting go of the game. Elijah has now created a professional Esports team consisting of other professional gamers as well as semi-professional players.
Axie on the Moon Youtube channel has been known as one of the most popular Axie Infinity streamers. Elijah has used this platform to teach players how to improve in Axie Infinity be it Arena pvp or team building.
METAT8 is the name of the group which has been founded by Elijah. Currently there are 4 core members and 500 semi-pro players in their team. Looks like Elijah is getting serious. A new contender is aiming for upcoming competitions.

Battles V2 NEW LEAKS
Battles V2 was expected to bring new changes in the Axie ecosystem but it also has doused many players with cold water. In his recent tweet concerning the current meta, Zyori has emphasized that players should not chase after Meta Axies with money they could not lose. This hints to enormous changes when it comes to skill effects and their possible synergy. On the bright side, it could be a new opportunity for players with less than desirable Axie parts.
During the Axie Dev Chat just recently, the developers have shown a small peek of the upcoming Battles V2.
However, some players were thirsty for more. Just recently, another Battles V2 leak was made by an anonymous player showing in-game content. The biggest change shown by the images show that Axies now have card skills from both Eyes and Ears part. According to Leapzee YT in his reply to a comment asking for his source, he stated that the leaks were from a beta player using a throwaway account.
Leapzee YT further said that the player was later on banned from the Axie Dev channel as well as banned from the beta version. But this leak was confirmed to be legit based on the previous leak made on the Axie Dev Chat. Axies will now have 6 skills which is just like the 6 skill cards shown in the leak.
The developers have yet to make a statement concerning this leaked content.
