From March 7th onwards the Axie Infinity Marketplace fees will be increased by 1% making it 5.25%. According to Sky Mavis this change has been made to provide an sustainable source of funding for Axie Creator Codes.
In the transactions that are being done with a creator code the 1% share will go to the creator and the rest will go the community treasury. In transactions without creator codes the whole fees will go to the community treasury.
The content creators have been a back pillar for the community educating and helping the community, this is Sky mavis' way to reward them for promoting Axie. They want the creators to be free from promoting the crypto projects and products in general that they don't want to.
This a step in good direction as it will help our favorite axie creators and can make up a bit for them financially, 1% increase in the marketplace fee is a small price to pay.
