Hello, photography lovers!
Starting with the science, red is one of the primary colours in both the subtractive colour model and the additive colour model. It cannot be created by mixing other colours or lights.
However, if we examine it through a symbolist prism, red carries a rich symbolism that varies according to the culture, religion, or context in which it appears.
I won't delve into a deeper analysis of RED π; instead, I'll share my archive of this year's photos, in case I have something suitable for the RED contest in the Photo-Essay community, hosted by @hive-14396.

I hope you like some of what I found in the archive.
Muscat Hamburg
This is the name of the band that performed here at the end of May (and also the type of grapes). To be announced soon on 3speak.tv.
Red spotlights illuminate the band.
Red flower
This one is from my mother's garden, I think it's a rose, if not, please correct me :)
Odometer
The odometer in the Renault Traffic van has done a lot of driving. It was lent to me by a friend, and I needed it for transporting some 3m long boards. They don't fit in my Ranger, as they're too long.
Fruit dessert
That's a fruit tiramisu, made by my wife for my elder son's birthday because he likes fruit. He doesn't like chocolate confectionery like the younger one.
Strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries instead of chocolate and coffee. The other ingredients are the same.
Watermelon
Green outside, red inside. For summer thirst, a slice of icy watermelon is a handy treat.
Something from the orchard.
My red rotary mower when I was mowing the grass. Petrol.
Hand lawnmower. Electric, battery-powered.
Some cars.
Chrysler Windsor Convertible. Veteran, from 1948.
I shot it in Rijeka, Croatia. Public domain; you can download it from the LMAC Gallery in a higher resolution than shown in this post.
Volkswagen Beetle, the model for collectors.
Another Volkswagen Beetle.
And finally, one inflatable Santa Claus, at least when I think of him in this heat, it cools me down a bit.
Thank you for your attention.

Nicely preserved Chrysler Windsor, and looks like it can still roll π
Yes, fascinating car for me, too. Looks like a new one.
!INDEED
These are some great red shots! The fruit tiramisu looks sooo good, now Iβm hungry haha. That old Chrysler is awesome too. Cool mix of photos, thx for sharing!
Thank you. Old Chrysler looks like a new one.π
Great creative nice shots! And I am literally wishing I could jump to where the watermelon is. It is super hot weather and humid here in Malaysia.
Yeah, I'm in a cool place now.

Thank you!
Red is, without a doubt, a striking color. Any object that features it captures our attention. Very beautiful photographs.
Thank you. Personally, I don't even like it. It reminds me too much of blood and bad things.
Very good quality post and interesting post
A strong, well-composed entry that balances aesthetics, storytelling, and community spirit. The mix of personal anecdotes, high-quality visuals, and thematic consistency makes it an enjoyable readβand a great fit for both casual viewers and photography enthusiasts.
When the color is red, photography becomes as beautiful as a red flower, which attracts all eyes. People are really addicted to the color red. Amazing
