DRIVING AROUND FRANCE WITH A CAMERA THAT LEAKS TOO MUCH LIGHT FROM THE OUTSIDE-IN.

in imagenius5 months ago (edited)

Today, after feeding the cats and finishing my usual chores, I felt a bit bored so I went driving around another country, a country that I visited only once before.

(Enlargeable)

In this opening shot, you can see how a small seaside town not far from the border with Italy looks when dramatically overexposed.
The place is called Menton and I never heard about it before. That's a shame becouse it is a beautiful old town resembling the Rovinj town in my country.

I was in a mood for coffee when I reached Digne-les-Bains. In this overexposed shot, you can't see the town's historic center but you can maybe imagine it appearing on the milk-white surface of the rectangle in front of you.

(Enlargeable)

I had orange juice and coffee in the place called Le Bar Fred'. In this set of four photographs, I'm showcasing its overexposed interior.

(Enlargeable)

I had a great time in Paris. The weather was nice just like the Restaurant La Mosquée de Paris (see the above photograph) where I ate Tagine vegetarien.

(Enlargeable)

I photographed like crazy there in Paris, you know. I photographed so many things. Arc de Triomphe. Tour Eiffel. Panthéon. Street sweeper in some side street. The lady in somber gray & black clothes collecting a piece of shit after her Maltese dog in a pink sweater. I photographed the fallen leaves, the tops of the trees, and a wide variety of cars driving me by. You can try to see all that stuff in this exuberant set of twelve overexposed photographs.

(Enlargeable)

This is Dijon. Ah, what a lovely city Dijon is. It's hard to describe but I took a photograph so it isn't that hard to show.

(Enlargeable)

Here, in this set of six enlargeable photographs, I'm presenting some lovely, overexposed details of the city's amazing architecture.

(Enlargeable)

Always in Dijon, in the place called Cafe de L'Industrie, shown in the above, overexposed photograph, I had another coffee.

(Enlargeable)

Barbirey-sur-Ouche is a lovely village about twenty kilometers from Dijon. I took four photographs there.

(Enlargeable)

Here you would have been able to see the town of Avallon if my camera had been working properly.

(Enlargeable)

I photographed the imposing 15th-century gateway and clocktower ...

(Enlargeable)

... the 12th-century Collegiale Church of Saint-Lazare...

(Enlargeable)

... and some dude walking two whippet dogs across the main square.

(Enlargeable)

In this set of six overexposed photographs, I'm exposing the fabulous town of Auxerre. After being exposed to this overexposed experience, I'm sure you'll love Auxerre.

(Enlargeable)

This is Paris again. Ah, Paris, tra-la-la-la.

(Enlargeable)

This is the city of Le Havre.

(Enlargeable)

Among many things that this major port offers to casual visitors, there are some bars. The News Bar is the one with the coolest name in town.

(Enlargeable)

I sat down two times inside the News Bar. First to get a cup of coffee, and then ...

(Enlargeable)

... to get some coffee-induced shit done in the bar's well-kept toilet. It was a remarkably clean toilet. I had to take twelve photographs to show all its splendor.

(Enlargeable)

In Nantes, I saw the Château des ducs de Bretagne and a girl with a Sponge Bob-shaped balloon.

After a short dinner in Montpellier, I drove straight back home. I have no more overexposed photographs to show, so the post must end here.

HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS EPIC JOURNEY. AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

I thought about pinning the post to the Pinmapple map, but I visited so many places today, just one pin isn't enough. You can't pin an entire country, right? I mean you probably can, but it doesn't look right, right?

Hello @borjan

I can't see any of your pictures!

I'll bet they were beautiful 🦋

😂 Yes, the pictures are fabulous. They show some extremely charming places. Some people can even see Paris there. I, for example, can at best see a blizzard in Antarctica. 😀

😄

I don't see any pictures, you're kidding, I see grids, I'll use my imagination.....Hey, Paris is beautiful :)

😀 That's the right thing to do. 😃 The imagination can bring you further than an airplane or a spaceship.

As much as I want to see the photos, I can't see them. I refreshed the post a lot of times.

Don't worry 😃they are completely white on purpose. There's nothing to see here. It's all a joke. 😂 A parody of a typical travel-themed post.

🤣

Maybe they're minimalists?

Could be 😀 The line between extreme minimalism and nothingness is probably very thin.

@tipu curate

You really had an amazing drive, i am glad that you carried me along with you virtually on this drive☺️ I love that I am seeing. You took coffees at almost every shots😁 It seems it was coffee day today🤭

I've been to Paris too but there were so many white spots in my memory! 😂

Hahahaha it's an overexposed memory syndrome. Paris ... ah Paris, tra-la-la-la-la ...

All I see is white in the pictures. Sad

Don't worry 😃they are completely white on purpose. There's nothing to see here. It's all a joke. 😂 A parody of a typical travel-themed post.

That's really a great journey. I have been to Paris and Côte d'Azur and had a great time there in France as well. (Btw. what's with the photos? Can't see any of them.)

In the same way, whenever we go on a trip, we all try to take beautiful pictures, and the good thing is that the winter season is going on tomorrow and you have drink coffee.

It must be nice just driving across a border into another Country. As I live on an island (England) that would be difficult (driving into the sea !LOL ). There is the "Channel Tunnel" but that's very expensive to drive through to France!

Anyway, awesome shots as always! Have a great day Borjan !ALIVE !VSC 👌

Nice journey . Hopefully you have enjoyed this moment very much. Have a good day!

Yes 😃 the moment was fairly long and enjoyment was accordingly great.

A charming journey, from coffee breaks to charming toilets and a glimpse of the charm of Nantes, culminating in a straight drive home. Hope you enjoyed the journey.
