Report on Bimbilla (Hive did it in Bimbilla)

Good day, family. Today is a great day I share our report with passion with you. An event that gave us so much exposure and so much confidence that the youth would value us more than any other thing. This was the event in Bimbilla to see how well education can be promoted. A great one we anticipated it to be but it was the greatest as we have ever seen. Hive did great in Bimbilla.

The activity was to inform them what hive was and what they do. What decentralization means in the blockchain world and why hive is the future of blockchain and social media. It was a great talk as it was led by @depressedfuckup. He did a great job as the students enjoyed it and didn’t want that to end. The basic of the blockchain was shared, the various frontends amongst others.

Our very own prof15, made the second speech as he advised them to be good people in school. Upholding to their norms will build them to be great. Ofe starts from within and if you can make yourself better, your community will be glad to have you. His talk was mainly about how their lives can be made better for them to grow and have an impact on the world. That’s indirectly hive.

We being past students, had the mentorship session. A session that was dubbed with everyone on stage with a student to have to talk to someone. The reason for this was to hear the students on one. Let them feel we have been like them and how we managed it as those ends. This was one of the most enjoyable parts of it as it covered all round questions. @depressedfuckup, @abu78, @shamsudeen13, @ummuhaani and @lukmanaliu were a part of this session. It was a great one. Each student had three minutes to use until the next students came. It was wonderful.

We couldn’t forget those who showed us they were listening. Questions and those who made great input to the program received gifts. Their questions were answered, their voices were heard and we were glad to be there. These students received a combination of sardines, milo, sugar, and Nido. After they had these, the rest was given to students. Books and pens were given out to the students to help them with their studies. To promote punctuality and discipline, certificates and T-shirts were but that was given to the first person to report to the venue. We wanted to see those who are ready to listen to us and help make hive grow in the future. They were those who had these gifts.

In all it was great. The first time hive was there they wish we visit them again and their students are ready to be a part of the family when they one day leave school. It was a wonderful experience and we are glad we made this outreach to promote education through hive.
