Hello Hivers friends,
as anticipated in the post a few days ago, I would like to go back to the origins... or almost.
As you can already see from the cover, I'm going back to talking about basketball and I'm doing it with a small editorial that will provide a periodic overview (I hope every 2/3 days) of what happened in and outside of the competitions, trying to also introduce some small curiosities

WNBA

In the WNBA the only teams that played on the night are Wings and Mercury.
The match saw the Mercury girls dominate 104-96.
The two updated rankings are therefore as follows

OLYMPIC GAMES QUALIFICATION (🌎)

The pre-Olympic tournament valid for access to the Paris Olympics began and is divided into 4 "mini tournaments" which take place in San Juan in Puerto Rico, in Valencia in Spain, in Piraeus in Greece and in Riga in Latvia.
Each mini-tournament is divided into groups of 3 teams each from which the top 2 in each group will take part in the semi-finals and then the final which will decide the team participating in the Paris Olympic Games.

In short, from this pre-Olympic tournament, 4 teams will be selected to join the Paris Olympic competition.

RIGA

In Riga these days 6 teams divided into 2 groups are playing. Group A is made up of Georgia, Latvia and Philippines, while in group B we find Brazil, Cameroon and Montenegro.

Yesterday for group A the Philippines beat Latvia 89-80, while for group B Montenegro prevailed over Cameroon 70-66.

VALENCIA

In Valencia these days 6 teams divided into 2 groups are playing. Group A is made up of Spain, Lebanon and Angola, while in group B we find Bahamas, Finland and Poland.

Yesterday for group A Spain defeated Angola 89-81, while in group B Bahamas beat Poland 90-81
Today, however, for group A they have already played the match Philippines against Georgia which ended 96-94 for the Europeans.

PIREO

At Piero these days 6 teams divided into 2 groups are playing. Group A is made up of Croatia, Slovenia and New Zealand, while in group B we find Dominican Republic, Egypt and Greece

Yesterday for group A New Zealand beat Croatia 90-86, while for group B Greece won 109-82 against Dominican Republic

SAN JUAN

In San Juan these days 6 teams divided into 2 groups are playing. Group A is made up of Lithuania, Mexico and Ivory Coast, while in group B we find Italy, Bahrain and Puerto Rico.

Yesterday for group A Lithuania beat Ivory Coast 97-93, while in group B Puerto Rico beat Bahrain 99-56

Salve amici Hivers,
come anticipato nel post di qualche giorno fa, vorrei tornare alle origini...o quasi.
Come vedete già dalla copertina, torno a trattare di pallacanestro e lo faccio con un piccolo editoriale che farà una panoramica periodica (spero ogni 2/3 giorni) di ciò che è successo nelle gare e fuori, cercando di introdurre anche qualche piccola curiosità

WNBA

Nella WNBA le uniche squadre che hanno giocato nella notte sono Wings e Mercury.
Il match ha visto dominanti le ragazze di Mercury per 104-96.
Le due classifiche aggiornate sono quindi le seguenti

TORNEO PRE-OLIMPICO (🌎)

E' iniziato il torneo pre-olimpico valido per l'accesso alle Olimpiadi di Parigi che si divide in 4 "mini tornei" che si svolgono a San Juan in Portorico, a Valencia in Spagna, al Pireo in Grecia e a Riga in Lettonia.
Ogni mini-torneo si divide in gruppi da 3 squadre ciascuno dai quali le prime 2 classificate di ogni gruppo prenderanno parte a semifinali e poi successiva finale che decreterà la squadra partecipante ai Giochi Olimpici di Parigi.

In poche parole da questo torno pre-olimpico verranno selezionate 4 squadre che si uniranno alla competizione Olimpica di Parigi.

A Riga giocano in questi giorni 6 squadre divise in 2 gruppi. Il gruppo A è formato da Georgia, Lettonia e Filippine, mentre nel gruppo B troviamo Brasile, Camerun e Montenegro.

Ieri per il gruppo A le Filippine hanno battuto la Lettonia 89-80, mentre per il gruppo B il Montenegro si è imposto sul Camerun per 70-66.

A Valencia giocano in questi giorni 6 squadre divise in 2 gruppi. Il gruppo A è formato da Spagna, Libano e Angola, mentre nel gruppo B troviamo Bahamas, Finlandia e Polonia.

Ieri per il gruppo A la Spagna ha sconfitto l'Angola 89-81, mentre nel gruppo B le Bahamas hanno battuto la Polonia per 90-81
Oggi invece per il gruppo A hanno già giocato il match Filippine contro Georgia finito 96-94 per gli europei.

Al Piero giocano in questi giorni 6 squadre divise in 2 gruppi. Il gruppo A è formato da Croazia, Slovenia e Nuova Zelanda, mentre nel gruppo B troviamo Repubblica Domenicana, Egitto e Grecia

Ieri per il gruppo A la Nuova Zelanda ha battuto la Croazia 90-86, mentre per gruppo B la grecia ha vinto 109-82 contro la Repubblica Dominicana

Ieri per il gruppo A la Lituania ha battuto il Costa d'Avorio 97-93, mentre nel gruppo B Portorico ha battuto il Bahrein 99-56
