Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge - Use of Flank Ability Monster

Good day everyone and wishing you a great weekend again as we are on a Friday!!! The week has been a very hectic one for me with me being irregular with blogging, tweeting and everything as my corporate job needs more of my time this week due to some of my colleagues being out of office!!!!!

Having said that, I never lose an opportunity whenever I get time to write a blog and especially, if it is about Splinterlands, then I won't miss it at all!!!!

I have one such opportunity as I got few minutes to write one on Splinterlands and I am sharing a battle with flank ability monster.

Flank ability is something, when a monster with this ability is used in the front position, the monster in Second position will automatically gets reach ability and I am going to share the beauty of this flank ability in this battle I am sharing.

The battle was with 59 MANA cost cap, but there were rulesets like odd man out and lost legendaries making the monsters availability limited for this battle and I had to select some of the rare ones for this as I share the details below:

Lineup:

1. Janni Rebel:

As I mentioned, when a flank ability monster is used at the front, the monster next to it will automatically gain the reach ability and can attack from Second position even if it is a melee attack monster.

So, the Janni Rebel monster from Rebellion rewards cards is one such monster with flank ability and is used in front position.

This monster is not just with flank ability, it is also with inspire ability and gives 3 magic attack in each round as well!!!!

2. Drybone Barbarian:

The flank ability monster in front position means, I have the opportunity to use a good melee attack monster in Second position as it will gain reach ability and will attack from Second position.

This monster, Drybone Barbarian is already famous for it's huge attack, enrage ability, retaliate ability and the huge health and armors.

3. Gargoya Devil:

As the number of monsters are limited for this battle, used Gargoya Devil from Third position as it can attack from even front position eventhough it is a ranged attack monster and that is because, it has close range ability

4. Dragon Egg Forager:

Dragon Egg Forager is One of the best with opportunity ability and is also with scavenger ability to attack monster with lowest health and gains a health when a monster gets removed.

5. Runic Skyclaw:

Runic Skyclaw is another best monster from Dragon splinter, it is with ranged attack and it is with 5 ranged attack with 6 speed and that makes it one of the early attackers and it keeps targeting monsters from Second line.

6. War Pegasus:

Last on my lineup is this ranged attack monster of War Pegasus and it's specialty is to remove the armors from the monster it attacks and is also with demoralize ability to reduce melee attack by 1 from opponent's monsters.

Being a flying monster, it gets to evade the attack many a times and that scatter ability it has, allows it to remove all the armors from the monster it attacks.

So, that was a good lineup as I consider it because of the limited monsters allowed in this battle and flank ability was something which allowed Drybone Barbarian to get to attack from Second position and that took care of removing few monsters from opponent's lineup.

All in all, it was a good battle with opponent too having all but one monster with 4 attack and scatter ability, usage of Drybone Barbarian helped me to win this battle rather easily and here I share few screenshots from this battle to give a glimpse of what happened in this battle!!!

It's very rare when odd or even and rule sets like lost legenadaries will be combined and it was One such battle and that means, there will be very less number of monsters available to select and it becomes very difficult to get good monsters when there is huge MANA cap like the one I had in this battle. But, abilities like flank will allow us to use monsters in a different way and make the battle more interesting.
