An Object That Represents Me [ENG] / Un Oggetto Che Mi Rappresenta [ITA] - #Unto&Bisunto 37º Contest

Ciao ragazzi!

Passa il tempo, ho saltato una partecipazione ma torno ora al 37º contest di #UntoBisunto della carina comunità Olio di Balena, per condividere più pensieri, parole e momenti relativi al nuovo tema suggerito questa settimana.

Insomma questa volta dobbiamo pensare a qualche oggetto che ci rappresenti in qualche modo. E se ci penso, ne penso a tanti, può essere un simbolo, qualcosa fisica che ci dia buona fortuna (o così la pensiamo...) oppure un regalo speciale che ci hanno fatto. E pensando ho scelto il mio oggetto rappresentativo, volete sapere qual'è?

Un Oggetto Che Mi Rappresenta [ITA] 🇮🇹

E il mio oggetto è piuttosto sorpresivo e originale, chi direbbe una matrioska? Ecco, una matrioska che ho nella mia stanza è proprio un vero oggetto che mi rappresenta. Ma perchè?

Innanzitutto perchè come tanti di questi tipi di oggetti, ci fanno pensare al passato, a qualche esperienza vissuta che vogliamo ricordare. Ma questo bello souvenir è più di un souvenir, perchè mi fa ricordare quell'emozionante periodo della mia vita in cui viaggiavo spesso, anzi, vivevo fuori, in altri paesi, e quindi è stata una bellissima esperienza in tutti i sensi, non solo professionale o formativa ma soprattutto personale. In tra quei paesi c'è la Russia, e Mosca è una città accattivante, diversa e bella, e che ci affascina per queste cose diverse, per elementi che ci sorprendono e per un'architettura e cultura uniche e stupende. E in quel periodo ho comprato una di queste "bambolette" di legno con bei disegni tipici che fanno uscire da dentro altre e altre, ogni volta più piccole...

Per me questo significa che certe volte bisogna andare più al profondo, non lasciarsi guidare dalle apparenze ma invece cercare di approfondire sia la conoscenza di un posto, di una persona o perfino di noi stessi. E viaggiando sono riuscita a conoscermi un pò meglio in altri scenari e in altre circostanze, e poi tutti questi insegnamenti ritornano con te in valigia, anche la matrioska.

E c'è di più, questo item diventa un simbolo della nostra personalità, possiamo diventare qualunque cosa che ci proponiamo, cioè ci sono più versioni di noi stessi, e io con il tempo sto trovando altre versioni, scoprendo che posso fare di più, che sto in processo di evoluzione e di crescita, qui inversamente proporzionale alle dimensioni delle piccole "matrioskine" che ci ricordano tutto quel potenziale che rimane dentro di noi. Forse è il momento di cominciare ad aprirsi e mostrarci al mondo!

Per ultimo, non potrei ignorare un piccolo aneddoto, e forse ciò che mi fatto parlarvi di quest'oggetto decorativo in questo post. La matrioska mi piace, certo, ma piace anche al mio nipote di tre anni, che sempre che viene a casa, sempre, ad un certo punto, la prende (e lo faceva prima da più piccolo addirittura), la apre tutta, guarda tutte le piccole che appaiono e cerca di chiudere dopo tutte quante che lui può, e ora da quando parla molto chiaro, la chiama "la ragazza" e io gli dico che è una "matrioska" ma per lui è semplicemente una ragazza... Chissà sia per lui anche un oggetto simpatico oppure è soltanto curiosità per qualcosa che è alla sua portata, ma in qualsiasi caso pensando a lui e alle cose che gli attirano l'attenzione mi ha fatto pensare anche a me a scegliere in questo caso e per questo post questa cosa colorata e carina, a riflettere su ciò che mi rappresenta e a parlare un pò di me a tutti voi!

Time flies, I missed a participation, but now I'm back to the 37th #UntoBisunto contest from the lovely Olio di Balena community, to share more thoughts, words, and moments related to this week's new theme.

So, this time, we need to think of an object that represents us in some way. And if I think about it, I think of many, it could be a symbol, something physical that gives us good luck (or so we think...) or a special gift they gave us. And while I'm thinking, I've chosen my representative object. Do you want to know what it is?

An Object That Represents Me [ENG] 🇬🇧

And my object is quite surprising and original, who would say a matryoshka? Well, a matryoshka I have in my room is truly a true object that represents me. But why?

First of all, because like many of these types of objects, they make us think of the past, of some experience we want to remember. But this beautiful souvenir is more than a souvenir, because it reminds me of that exciting period of my life when I traveled often, or rather, lived abroad, in other countries, and so it was a wonderful experience in every sense, not just professionally and educationally, but above all personally. Among those countries is Russia, and Moscow is a captivating, diverse, and beautiful city, one that fascinates us with these different things, with elements that surprise us, and with its unique and stunning architecture and culture. And around that time I bought one of those wooden "dolls" with beautiful typical drawings that bring out more and more, each time smaller...

For me, this means that sometimes you have to delve deeper, not be guided by appearances but instead try to deepen your understanding of a place, a person, or even yourself. And by traveling, I've been able to get to know myself a little better in other settings and circumstances, and then all these lessons come back with you in your suitcase, even the matryoshka.

And there's more, this item becomes a symbol of our personality; we can become whatever we set out to become. That is, there are multiple versions of ourselves, and over time I'm finding other versions, discovering that I can do more, that I'm in a process of evolution and growth, inversely proportional to the size of the little "matryoshkas" that remind us of all the potential that remains within us. Maybe it's time to start opening up and showing ourselves to the world!

Finally, I couldn't ignore a little anecdote, and perhaps it's what prompted me to tell you about this decorative object in this post. I like the matryoshka, of course, but so does my three-year-old nephew, who always, at some point, picks it up whenever he comes home (and he did it even when he was younger), opens it wide, looks at all the little ones that appear, and tries to close them all. Ever since he can speak very clearly, he calls it "the girl", and I tell him it's a "matryoshka", but to him it's simply a girl... Who knows, maybe it's a cute object for him, or maybe it's just curiosity about something within his reach, but in any case, thinking about him and the things that attract their attention made me think about choosing this colorful and cute object in this case and for this post, to reflect on what it represents me and to tell you all a little about myself!
