We are five days into the new year already, and the excitement of fresh and new beginnings is still bubbling in the air. Many of us have set ambitious resolutions and we are eager to transform our lives and achieve goals. The reality is that the new year is just like every other day of our life just that human beings love the idea of a new beginning and starting fresh and also try to do things differently. Is not as if we can’t try new things at the end of last year but most times it’s always about the mentality.
Our Mentality has a lot to do in this because it can help us and it can also be our downfall. Some people’s mentality did not change from last year to this new year and they are not ready to do things differently, the truth is that the new year is just like every other day and if you’re not ready to do things differently or you’re not ready to change, you will get same results but if your mentality is right, and you choose to start a fresh and do things differently, you might get a different result and you never can tell it might be your turning point. It is always about the mentality behind the new year, it is just like every other day.
it is important to remember that lasting change takes patience, time, and kindness towards ourselves. I want us to take a step back and rekindle our approach to resolutions. No pressure!
Some of you are good with unrealistic expectations that you put too much pressure on yourselves to achieve goals quickly which leads to nothing but frustration. When you are trying to make a change, it is better we take it slow and start celebrating your small wins because by the time everything compounds and adds up, we will have made real changes. Social media is not even a good place for New Year resolutions this time because everywhere is just full of different resolutions. Do not make anyone make you feel like you are not doing enough. Sometimes you have to avoid places like Social Media so that they will not affect your confidence in the process.
Be kind to yourself. Instead of being hard on ourselves for our flaws, let’s be kind and show self-compassion. And let’s Remember that It is okay to make mistakes and learn from them.
Nobody is perfect and when you see people who have mastered a skill or are doing very well in a particular field they also started as novices. we should be easy on ourselves and stop judging ourselves for every mistake that we make, we are going to get better and improve as time goes on. The most important thing is to keep trying and never give up on ourselves and it doesn’t mean that it’s going to be easy. We must love ourselves enough not to give up and always give our best in everything we are doing because there might be someone watching and for sure joy is coming.

Let us remember that progress matters more than being perfect. Let us learn to celebrate small achievements, that will keep us motivated. Let us Enjoy the journey, not just the end goal, break big goals into smaller, easier tasks, take care of ourselves and focus on our well-being.

It’s still early in the year, so you have lots of time to work on your goals. Don’t be too hard on yourself if things don’t go as planned, just aim for lasting changes that help you feel better overall.
