Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Flagulon Reine (Eng/Ita)

Hello everyone, friends of Splinterlands!!!

Until now, I have dedicated very few posts to Gladius cards, the ones that can be purchased with Merits earned primarily in Brawls. Yet, these cards hide enormous potential! Besides being essential in guild battles, they can also be used in ranked matches, both in Modern and Wild mode, thanks to the Conscript ability of some summoners. This means it is possible to take advantage of their incredible offensive power, made even deadlier by the Bloodlust ability, even outside of Brawls!

Flagulon Reine

To be honest, I didn’t know this card very well, even though I had seen it several times, especially in Brawls. But after using it multiple times, I can confirm that it is a very strong card—not on the same level as Quora Towershead, but when boosted, it can deal significant damage to the opponent’s team.

At level 1, it already has 6 Health, 2 Magic, and 2 Speed, but most importantly, a combination of two devastating abilities: Blast and Bloodlust, which together create a truly explosive mix.

At level 4, it gains two more abilities: Shatter and Knockout.

This time, I chose a summoner I often leave on the bench: Pembrook Nymph.
For the Tank position, I deployed Coastal Sentry, followed by Flagulon Reine, Nerissa Tridawn, Elanor Bravefoot, Torrent Fiend, and finally Halfling Refugee.

My opponent, on the other hand, opted for a typical Old School Death-element team, with Thaddius Brood as the summoner, Cursed Windeku in the first position, followed by Chaos Agent, Life Sapper, Supply Runner, Soul Strangler, and Dhampir Stalker.

After Coastal Sentry fell, poor Flagulon Reine found itself having to defend the frontline—a tough spot for a magic card with relatively low Health and no Armor. However, thanks to all the stat boosts received from the Bloodlust ability, Flagulon managed to fulfill the role successfully.

This card is very strong, and I will definitely use it more often in the future, even though Gladius cards are always tricky to deploy due to the usual limit of only one such card per team.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!

Fino ad ora ho dedicato pochissimi post alle carte Gladius, quelle che si acquistano con i Merits guadagnati principalmente nelle Brawls. Eppure queste carte nascondono un potenziale enorme! Oltre a essere fondamentali nelle battaglie di gilda, possono essere utilizzate anche nelle ranked, sia in modalità Modern che Wild, grazie all’abilità Conscript di alcuni evocatori. Questo significa che è possibile sfruttare il loro incredibile potere offensivo, reso ancora più letale dall’abilità Bloodlust, anche fuori dalle Brawls!

Flagulon Reine: devo essere sincero, non conoscevo bene questa carta, pur avendola vista varie volte, soprattutto nelle Brawls, ma dopo averla usata varie volte possono confermare che è una carta molto forte, non ai livelli di Quora Towershead, ma potenziata può fare molti danni alla squadra avversaria.

Già al primo livello possiede 6 di Health, e 2 di Magic e Speed, ma soprattutto un'accoppiata di due abilità devastanti, ovvero Blast e Bloodlust, che insieme fanno veramente una miscela esplosiva.

Al livello 4, poi arriva a ottenere altre due abilità, ovvero Shatter e Knockout.

Questa volta ho scelto un evocatore che spesso lascio in panchina, ovvero Pembrook Nymph, e in posizione Tank ho schierato Coastal Sentry, seguito da Flagulon Reine, Nerissa Tridawn, Elanor Bravefoot, Torrent Fiend e, per finire, Halfling Refugee.

Il mio avversario, invece, si è orientato verso una tipica squadra dell'elemento Death che possiamo definire Old School, con Thaddius Brood come evocatore, Cursed Windeku in rima posizione, seguito da Chaos Agent, Life Sapper, Supply Runner, Soul Strangler e Dhampir Stalker.

Dopo la caduta di Coastal Sentry, la povera Flagulon Reine si è trovata a dover difendere il primo posto in squadra, posizione non facilissima per una carta magica con punti Health abbastanza limitati e senza Armor: però Flagulon, grazie a tutti gli aumenti di stats ricevuti dall'abilità Bloodlust, è riuscita ad adempiere al ruolo con successo.

Questa carta è molto forte, è la userò sicuramente di più in futuro, anche se le carte Gladius sono sempre difficile da mettere in campo visto il limite , che di solito vige, di massimo una carta di questo tipo per squadra.
