Recently I had done an upgrade to my laptop and at the same time have bought a new mobile phone and due to which all my security setting to login to Binance had to be updated. At first I was skeptical if this is going to be adifficult process and I would require At first, I was skeptical, thinking it might be a difficult process and that I might require assistance from customer support.However, to my surprise, the entire procedure was smooth and straightforward. Within a few minutes, I successfully updated my 2Factor authentication methods, and now my account is more secure than ever.
How to Renable Passkey for Binance Account - Simple Steps to FOLLOW...
As seen from the above image, I am using the Passkeys method along with normal login and all crypto withdrawals will require this passkey to be entred so as to approve the withdrawals. First what you need to do is go to your::
Account --> Security and then you see this Security Check up List on top
Security Checkup
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Identity Verification
- Anti-Phishing Code
- Withdrawal Whitelist
You will have a green check if you have enabled all those options and if not then a cross mark will be there. As a next step to enable Passkey for Binance Account - you need to click the manage button against the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) that you want to re-enable. In my case it was Passkey and after clicking the maage I got the following screen and from there you can click "Add Passkey" button and follow the simple instruction to re-enable a new Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
It dint take me long to get the account up and working. I deleted the earlier authentication which was on my older laptop and mobile and then set it up as google passowrd manager cross device meaning my mobile phone passkey for authentication. It was that simple. So next you land up in a situation dont panic and I can assure the process of re-enabling passkey was pretty simple and also there is a - Having Trouble link that I didnt refer but is there for help and clearly explains many examples to setting up a new Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). The other good part was that Binance automatically recognized my new device without any issues and sent instant verification OTP [One Time Password] as a confirmation. This made the whole process smooth, quick, and secure. And within a few minutes, my passkey was active again, and I could access my account without any issues. And before I end, I would strongly urge to you ALL activate your 2FA, as it is extremely critical for safeguarding not only your Binance account but any other critical account inorder to protecting your funds from unauthorized access.
