Here we are, almost ready for another trip.

On the 25th we return to Rome!

On the 26th exactly at 2.00 pm Samuele will have to undergo the usual check-up after, probably, the next time we return to the capital he will have the operation; we'll find out in the next few days.

This time we will only stay for a few days and in any case we will only stay in Rome for the hours of the visit.

Once the paperwork has been completed at the "Bambin Gesù" we will move to Anguillara Sabazia, we decided to stay there overnight in order to take a nice stroll on Lake Bracciano; I will write a special article for this since we booked a beautiful and very special accommodation but, obviously, I don't want to spoil anything for you.

We will spend Friday afternoon in Anguillara, on Saturday we will move to Bracciano where we will have lunch and take a walk and then move to Fontenuova, a small village near Frascati, a dear friend of ours lives there who was her best man and her husband.

We will stop just long enough for a fantastic barbecue and also for the night and then on Sunday we will leave to return to Reggio.

Once we return home, we aim to enjoy the month of August to the fullest and recharge our batteries, aware that, after the summer, a very challenging period awaits us.

As you may have noticed, this time too, we opted to take advantage of the opportunity of Samuele's checks to take a little holiday; on the previous occasion we stopped for a few days in the Tuscan countryside, this time we opted for the lake.

Traveling and seeing new places is important and I want our son to understand this and above all do it right from the start; certainly at the moment our routes and the "locations" that can be visited are limited, but in the future we will try to broaden our horizons.

Obviously here in Italy there are many things to see and, probably, the word "limited" is not exactly correct, it is also true that the world is vast and offers so much.

Going back to my thoughts from yesterday, travel is one of the opportunities you can't miss after being "died and reborn".

The journey is an integral part of the Scout culture and we all are in the family!

I think it is very important for Samuele to develop a passion for travel because it is not just about fun; seeing new places, meeting new people and experiencing their habits is culture.

I was taught that traveling opens the mind and it has been one of the most important lessons of my life.

Precisely for this reason, as soon as Samuele completes his journey and is well, we will start a new project, I want to find a nice van to camper or, alternatively if the thing is too complicated, a camper to fix... In this way we will be able to live a new travel style!

It is undeniable that the playful and fun part has its importance especially when you are younger, but as time goes by as adults, if you grow up with this type of culture and passion, you come to understand how important travel is.

One thing that I would like to point out, however, is that, as I see it, traveling is not just about leaving, sometimes it is enough to read a book or watch a video or listen to a particular piece of music; It may happen that you cannot afford a plane ticket but you can still set off with your mind on beautiful journeys.

Eccoci qui, quasi pronti per un altro viaggio.

Il 25 si torna a Roma!

Il 26 esattamente alle 14.00 Samuele dovrà sostenere la consueta visita di controllo dopo, probabilmente, la prossima volta che torneremo nella Capitale farà l'intervento; lo scopriremo nei prossimi giorni.

Questa volta ci fermeremo giusto qualche giorno e comunque a Roma staremo appena le ore della visita.

Sbrigate le pratiche al "Bambin Gesù" ci trasferiremo ad Anguillara Sabazia, abbiamo deciso di pernottare lì in modo da fare un bel giretto sul lago di Bracciano; scriverò un articolo apposito per questo poiché abbiamo prenotato un alloggio bellissimo e molto particolare ma, ovviamente, non voglio spoilerarti nulla.

Ad Anguillara passeremo il venerdì pomeriggio, sabato ci sposteremo a Bracciano dove pranzeremo e faremo un giretto per poi trasferirci a Fontenuova un paesino vicino Frascati, lì abita una nostra cara amica che è stata la testimone di nozze e suo marito.

Ci fermeremo giusto il tempo di una fantastica grigliata e anche per la notte e poi domenica ripartiremo per rientrare a Reggio.

Una volta rincasati puntiamo a goderci al massimo il mese di agosto e a ricaricare le batteria consapevoli che, dopo l'estate, ci attende un periodo bello impegnativo.

Come hai potuto notare, anche stavolta, abbiamo optato per sfruttare l'occasione dei controlli di Samuele per fare una piccola vacanzina; nell'occasione precedente ci siamo fermati qualche giorno nell campagne Toscana questa volta abbiamo optato per il lago.

Viaggiare e vedere posti nuovi è importante e desidero che nostro figlio lo capisca e soprattutto lo faccia fin da subito; certo al momento i nostri tragitti e le "location" visitabili sono limitate, in futuro però cercheremo di ampliare i nostri orizzonti.

Ovviamente qui in Italia ci sono tante cose da vedere e, probabilmente, la parola "limitato" non è propriamente corretta è anche vero che il Mondo è vasto e offre davvero tanto.

Riprendendo un po' il mio pensiero di ieri, questa dei viaggi è una delle opportunità che non puoi farti sfuggire dopo essere "morto e rinato".

Il cammino poi è parte integrante della cultura Scout e noi in famiglia lo siamo tutti!

Credo sia molto importante per Samuele sviluppare la passione per il viaggio perché non si tratta solo di divertimento; vedere nuovi posti, conoscere nuovi popoli e vivere le loro abitudini è cultura.

Mi è stato inseganto che viaggiare apre la mente ed è stato uno degli insegnamenti più importanti della mia vita.

Proprio per questo motivo appena Samuele porterà a termine il suo percorso e starà bene inizieremo un nuovo progetto, desidero trovare un bel furgone da camperizzare o, in alternativa se la cosa è troppo complicata, un camper da sistemare...In questa maniera potremo vivere un nuovo stile di viaggio!

È innegabile che la parte ludica e divertente ha la sua importanza soprattutto quando sei più giovane, col passare del tempo però diventando adulti, se si cresce con questo tipo di cultura e di passione, si arriva a capire quanto il viaggio sia importante.

Una cosa che ci tengo però a precisare è che, per come la vedo io, viaggiare non è solo partire, a volte basta leggere un libro o guardare un video o ascoltare una musica particolare; può succedere di non potersi permettere un biglietto di aereo ma comunque si può partire con la mente per viaggi bellissimi.
