The two wheeler EV market in India

Hello and Namaste Everyone

The electric vehicle market is going to be full of competition in the Indian two-wheeler market. A few brands currently have their EV2 Wheeler products available in the market, but Ola is the biggest one. This is one of the companies that have been aggressive marketing to bring more attention to EV products. It's not the only company operating in the country currently but others are lacking in the marketing.

In the traditional two-wheeler market, companies like Hero, Bajaj Yamaha TVS, etc don't have EV 2-wheelers. TVS has one EV scooter which was recently launched but its market share is less. This year Ola has announced its bike and this will be available from the year end onwards. Now the competition has started I have some other brands also started working on the electric vehicle two-wheeler segment. Other leading brands are also entering in this sector because maybe they have realised that electric vehicle is the future. In India, the current infrastructure is not sufficient to deal with the demand for EVs but it is in process. The government is also trying to increase people to buy EVs.

The segment is also growing in four-wheelers but looks like more competition will start with two-wheelers first. I don't know if this EV revolution is going to start in the country through True Wheels only because cars are expensive and not everyone can afford it. The comment is doing great because they have reduced the registration and taxation for electric vehicles by a big amount which will encourage more people to buy EV products. If this continues for the long term then we can expect a good transition in the country from traditional vehicles to electric vehicles. Hopefully, in the next few years, the country will have better infrastructure available.

Because some other brands are also going to enter in EV market it will create more competition and it will also create better infrastructure for consumers. Ola was a leader before but looks like it will not remain the same for long because their products are creating a lot of issues. People have no other options to go far but soon this will be a thing of the past. This is going to happen because other brands are entering the electric vehicle market and they are going to do it soon. Even some brands have given the updates that in 2025 they will launch their electric two-wheelers. After scooters electric bikes are also going to be trained and that segment is also pretty much competitive.

Currently very few brands are manufacturing electric bikes but it is expected that next year we will have many new products available from different brands. Some foreign brands are also owing for the Indian market so as consumers we can expect a revolution coming in. I hope that this also brings better products and better services for the consumers at affordable prices. More competition is good for the consumers in India but it will take some time and hopefully the next year twenty twenty five is going to be the start of it. It will be interesting to see how the electric vehicle market shapes up with two-wheelers whereas cars are already available at premium prices so not everyone can afford them but two-wheelers are affordable for many.

Thank you so much
Stay Safe
