Part of me thinks that there a few institutions around the world funded by wealthy individuals to develop longevity drugs or ones that will be able to cure most diseases. Independent researchers who discover alternate and inexpensive cures are the ones to seek before they're hunted down and banned. The battle may be fierce in the near future between these companies and innocent people being the battleground.
