The only time I have ever been good at the piano was back in my days of being obsessed with the video game Pianista. I was damn good at it and it was rhythm games such as Pianista, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band that enlightened me to the fact that I have an ear for music. I may not be fluent with any particular instruments, but that doesn't mean I do not have the natural talent to keep a beat. I was finally able to prove that was the definite truth during @flowerbaby and I's recent trip to Lewisburg, WV. This was such a cool town and the fact that there is a painted (and working) piano just sitting out front of one of the old buildings is pretty cool. There was no sign saying to keep off, so I imagine the town wanted to invite any pianist to jump on the keys. So of course I had to do that. Within seconds I was shredding away some Frédéric Chopin Fantaisie-Impromptu (Op. 66). It may seem like a very high-level song for somebody who doesn't even play, but this piano had magical powers. It propelled me to elite levels of composure in an instant. We were all lucky enough that @flowerbaby was there to capture me at the moment while I was consumed by the music. I love those styles of YouTube videos. I am not quite sure how they get the notes to come down colorful like that, but it is such an awesome effect and of course the music is fantastic too.
I was hoping for a video.
They do this where I live too. They have an old piano under a pavilion next to city hall. People can just walk up and start playing it. I used to have a retail shop right across the street, and every so often someone would REALLY start playing that thing! It's pretty cool to see and hear. Suddenly the street fills with the sound of classical piano. Then of course you get the kids that beat the hell out of it! 🤣 All good fun I guess. It's a big hit in our neighborhood too!

I think the idea of public instruments is amazing. This is the first time I had ever seen anything like this. I imagine that there are people who put on a show for the town at random and it must be pretty great to witness.

By the way, it would be really funny, if a piano would actually teach people to play the piano. With modern technology (computer and software), this is possible.
Not only am I an expert on the keys, but I also have a voice that awakens those enjoying a peaceful slumber up in the heavens. Let's just say, I'm glad these are photos and not videos.

Thank you and I agree with you... all they'd need to do is make it black and white and age it a bit, then people would believe I was from the 1800s... well except for all of the tattoos maybe. I guess I'm stuck here in the future.
