After we had unpleasant encounter with beggar, this cheered me up. Sort of like a reminder to choose to be happy and let go thoughts or circumstances we could not control.

Super crowded night life at around Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. By this time, I just wanted to quickly reach home. Lol... Husband knew it too. So we just walked passed all the crowds despite them asking us buy this and that.

It is Wednesday Walk again!

This time I bring to you my walk at Kuala Lumpur, specifically at Bukit Bintang area. Somehow, I felt it had been awhile we walked at the city centre. Bukit Bintang has always been the heartbeat of Kuala Lumpur, a famous tourist spot, where all the grand malls are here and all types of branded fashion boutiques as well as bars and hotels, both commercials and entertainments included. Hence, from the description, I, for one, is not a fan of it because I did not prefer too crowded or too noisy due to excessive stimulation. However, my husband grew up at KL and he is from KL, walking at Bukit Bintang is one of the ways of reminiscing his memories. It was our anniversary day, so I figured since he suggested to dine at Bukit Bintang, let's walk down the memory lane with him. For the sake of love, we can do things together. Lol...

We were at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to catch the movie called John Wick. It was a superb show, although I was more impressed with this cinema called Dadi. I love the Bear Brick collection outside the cinema hall. And a pair of bear statue outside our cinema hall. Yes, I used to be fans of bear for the love of Care Bears cartoon. A very nice cinema to watch movie but we could not do that often because the tickets were more expensive.

Thereafter we walked out the mall to explore the vicinity. True enough, life of a city is back after the Covid19 era. Although my husband said this was not the capacity like last time where it used to be shoulder to shoulder kind of crowd, it was still quite a crowd for me. Walking out of the mall, you could see many people, a lot of foreigners too. And a lot of street vendors selling beautiful balloons, and many litted toys, calling people to buy. I saw quite a number of beggars too, and of course no photos taken.

Somehow I felt like I was no longer a city girl. Perhaps as I grow older each year, these beautiful malls are merely buildings. Concrete. I told my husband that they no longer attract me as they used to. Luxury items are another perishable stuffs, owned today, gone tomorrow (not saying we can't own luxury items and of course I never afford one). People still love them. However, I still took a slow walk to admire the city, the huge malls and the brightly litted surroundings when night approaching.

I saw some beggars. And suddenly a couple who looked like they were Arabs, approached us. The man asking us for some cash to buy milk for their son who was sitting in a stroller. My husband gave. Suddenly, the wife who was carrying a sleeping baby said she wanted more. We told her that we clearly had given. Then, she said she did not recognise the man. However, it was obvious they were walking together and were talking to each other. We did not feel like giving anymore. She chased us, being quite aggressive, while we continued walking towards a security guard. When we were near the guard, she quickly parted and walked to the man just now and together with the man again. Sigh....

The security guard told us they had been here for many years, it was their fulltime job, asking money from people. Some babies might be drugged too so that remained asleep. I was so sad to hear this. And I silently prayed for the couple that they would find a proper job. Both are handsome man and beautiful woman. The children are beautiful too. Bless them!

God knows how to cheer me up, we saw graffiti saying "Be Happy!" and yes, it is a decision to be happy despite tiring times ahead of us. And so this is for #makemesmile.

We also passed by Damascus, a famous shop selling kebab and shawarma. Wow, the spot for grilling the meat had really thick huge chunks of meat. Apparently, they cooked more because soon, Muslims will break fast and many people would order huge amount from Damascus. Bless their business!

After the walk at Bukit Bintang, we finally reached Mitasu for our anniversary dinner! We chose Japanese buffet again, yumsss! I shall talk about it next time.

Happy 14th Anniversary to us. Thank you to my husband who asked me to marry him and of course, I said yes too. Marriage is not for the faint of heart, it isn't bed of roses without thorns. But in my words, it is a bed of roses with thorns, but those thorns eventually become sweet cotton candy. Lol.. If you get me, then you get me.
