The old banger that I was using until changing it for a Volvo, parked up next to Paignton pier in the late afternoon winter sun. It may only be 4-5pm yet it is getting dark in this part of the year. The light was stunning.

Who put that there? Monolith on Dartmoor pointed the way for ancient tracks.

The landscape at Slapton sands is a must see. Below the sand line, as the beach drops to the water is made up of billions of incredible smooth pebbles. This is an amazing spot to catch loads of Mackerel fish at the right time of year also.

Tranquil Devon beach, hidden away from the tourist masses. Near Torquay, Devon. Excellent place to go and unwind. The water is so clear, in summer the weather so fair - it actually the only part of the UK considered semi-tropical during summer.

The beach is Babbacombe beach, in Torquay. The Cary Arms will serve you a decent pub lunch, but it might cost you a good $20. Picnic another option ;)

The river Dart presents many scenes like this. Take you time and you'll find fish and birds around also. Maybe a dear will pop it's head up on the other side.

Felled logs in managed woodland make for an interesting scene. One could spend forever here making some awesome photos, looking at this wishing I'd spent more tie on some more shots here. Next time!

Purple Lavender has flourished in this spot, sending this incredible splash of color around.

A Vintage fire engine parks up for the vintage show at the vintage railway station. Buckfastleigh.

Estuarine scene. The rocks remind me of playing as a child amongst them, pretending I was in an episode of Star Trek.

Going through thousands of photos once again, to dig up the places and sights seen over the past couple of years to bring more from my extended period back in the UK (thanks covid) in the area I grew up, beautiful Devon in the SouthWest of England.

All work is my own, and I've added a few words about each shot and location in the captions. Mostly a photo essay today, as I've not a huge lot else to report!

I always feel lucky to have experieced my childhood and growing up in the places shown today.

Thanks, and hope you find the photos interesting and enlightening!
