A few days ago I was in an architecture studio in Verona where the equipment used in the studio many years ago was kept in one room. A kind of small museum inside the architecture studio. While I was observing these objects no longer in use I noticed a typewriter, an Olivetti studio 44 and I took some photos.
This typewriter was made by Olivetti in 1952. Olivetti is an Italian company that operates in the information technology sector. In the past it was one of the most important European companies in the field of typewriters, calculators and computers.
It was founded by Camillo Olivetti in 1908 in Ivrea (Torino - Italy)
Today Olivetti has perhaps lost some of its global fame, but it is a company that still had a turnover of €192 million in 2020

Qualche giorno fa mi trovavo in uno studio di architettura a Verona dove in una stanza erano conservate le attrezzature usate nello studio tanti anni fa. Una specie di piccolo museo all’interno dello studio di architettura. Mentre osservavo questi oggetti non più in uso ho notato una macchina da scrivere, una Olivetti studio 44 ed ho scattato alcune foto.
QUesta macchina da scrivere fu realizzata dalla Olivetti nel 1952. La Olivetti è una società italiana che opera nel settore dell'informatica. In passato fu una delle più importanti aziende europee nel campo delle macchine da scrivere, calcolatrici e computer.
Fu fondata da Camillo Olivetti nel 1908 ad Ivrea (Torino - Italia)
Oggi la Olivetti ha perso forse un po’ della sua fama mondiale, ma è un azienda che nel 2020 ha comunque fatturato 192 milioni di €

Ho sentito parlare della marca, ma non ho mai usato una di queste macchine, quando il computer non c'era, questa macchina da scrivere serve a tutti, l'avanzamento della tecnologia lascia dietro di sé le macchine ma non gli usi e i ricordi

I know them very well. There was a time (maybe in the 1980ies?) when they were quite leading producers of printers for computers. Makes sense as they came from typewriters. Glad that they are still existing!

Concordo con quanto hai scritto. Olivetti è stato uno dei marchi italiani più importanti, anche solo per il fatto che Olivetti, già a suo tempo, aveva compreso l’importanza sociale di un azienda… un azienda non doveva essere solo un luogo in cui sfruttare le persone per creare guadagno.

Exact!!! this typewriter was invented in 1952! This one is over 50 years old
